We had a special visitor today 💙

Our Blue Zones Project team was surprised by community champion and dear friend Clark Buschmann, who stopped by with a personal printout of our ad in the Shopper. Thoughtful gestures like this remind us how lucky we are to be surrounded by people who truly believe in this work and help spread the message far and wide.

Start 2026 off with some healthy recipes at a Cooking Demonstration with Blue Zones Project Yuba Sutter! The Blue Zones team will be returning on January 8th to hold another cooking demonstration. Afterwards attendees can sample the dish made! Join us Thursday January 8th from 1-2PM! Registration is not required, but appreciated so the Blue Zones team knows how much food to bring. Say hello to Park Avenue Elementary School's new soil mates! Over break, Lami Fusion and Blue Zones Project, helped get a worm farm up and running on campus. These little wigglers will turn food scraps into nutrient-rich soil while teaching students (and soon parents and the community!) about composting and sustainability.

Stay tuned for information on a worm farm class coming soon! We can’t wait to dig into some hands-on learning!

New year, same us! We’re kicking off 2026 the Blue Zones way: Moving more, connecting often, and the best part...doing it TOGETHER!

Rain or shine (okay, mostly rain this week 😉), we’re keeping our weekly walks going all month long! Stay dry and join us at the mall (food court entrance) every Tuesday and Friday at 10 a.m. Or, if you’re ready to brave the cool fresh air, 6 p.m. Wednesday walks at Regency Park are calling your name!

This past year, our final full year as Blue Zones Project, has been filled with meaningful moments, big milestones, quiet wins, and everything in between. There were challenges, there were celebrations, and through it all, there was community. 💙

To our partners, volunteers, champions, leaders, and neighbors: thank you for showing up, leaning in, and believing in the power of connection, purpose, and small daily choices to support health and well-being. You made this year what it was.

As we head into a new year and a new chapter, we carry forward the relationships, lessons, and impact we’ve built together. Here’s to gratitude, growth, and continuing to care for one another, today and always.
