You guys, just go for a walk 😂🙌🏼

Honestly our body gains so much goodness from walking- heart health, muscle and bone strength along with being in nature, getting vitamin D and breathing fresh air.

Don’t get caught up in having to do a workout a certain way or feeling like you’re not fit enough bc you don’t do “X” thing.

Not everyone has the means to pay for a gym membership or buy equipment and a lot of people don’t like group classes!

Find what works for you and stick to it!

And yes, a walk will make you fitter than doing nothing will!! 🙌🏼💪🏼

When I started this coaching account in 2020 it was to help people with their nutrition needs. As life has changed, I’ve moved the focus of this account into my true passion which is strength training! Whoops 😅 💪🏼 But nutrition is so important and a huge part of my coaching life!

I’ve had to learn to break nutrition down for my clients and take the emotion out of it. (And I’ve had to do this for myself!)

First, look at food for what it is: Fuel. But it’s so much more, right? For some it’s an identity piece, for others it’s what brings friends and family together. For others it is a source of happiness and other’s a source of stress. None of this is wrong.

Figuring out what food is for you is the first task. The second is to understand your nutrition needs.

The truth is, we are all different and there’s no “one size fits all” approach!

Figure out your goal and what you want to get out of your nutrition- is it performance, weight loss or more muscle? From there you can decide how to move forward.

Just know being healthy is part of a long, consistent and slightly boring road 😂

I’m just touching the surface here, but know that nutrition does not have to be hard or scary!

Yesterday I finished the day with 2999 steps. 😆

I even put on workout clothes so as soon as I felt better, I’d be ready to workout or at least walk around the neighborhood.

Well that never happened. So I rested on my sprints day! 😭😂 gosh I hate breaking cycles.

I have tendencies to overwork my body and not listen to it for the sake of tasks and consistency. But as I’m getting older, I’m working on listening to my body and resting when needed so I can keep moving for longer!

So today I went for a WOG (walk/jog) bc I’m still feeling tired but I just want to move. Nothing crazy though.

Reminder to myself and maybe you… It’s ok to rest, in fact your body needs it!
