"My name is Sandra Pratt-Thunderbull, I live with my husband Brian, two sons and my dog Tinker Bell. She misses me (Tinker Bell.) I was a bingo caller, inventory and floor worker at two different places. My cause now is taking care of the house. My husband is working on getting me a hospital bed and bath chair for my discharge home. I came to Ranchwood because I broke my upper femur and my left wrist, which I need very badly!

I thought therapy would be easy, but I fell on my left side and broke my left femur and left wrist. It was hard in the beginning and it was painful, but in the end, therapy was really enjoyable! It was not what I expected, but now I can stand up without any help and I've been walking! I enjoyed the time I spent in therapy, it was very helpful!

The process was hard, painful and enjoyable. And I'm so happy to be going home today!"

Michael worked closely with our therapy team, and his poem beautifully expresses his gratitude for the care and support he received. Thank you, Michael, for reminding us that recovery can be a journey of strength, resilience, and sometimes a little discomfort along the way. 💙

Welcome to Ranchwood, a place for your care,
The rehab is tops, none can compare.
A newbie comes in, too weak to stand,
So it's off to rehab, for a helping hand;
The staff are all friendly, but they can be firm,
They'll make you do things, causing wiggle and squirm;
But it's all good, helping you recover,
From whatever it was, that threw you asunder.
So don't be angry, if they make you ache,

"My name is Jane Becerra, I'm 84 years old. My birthday is 6/28/46 and I am still able to remember and relate with the best. I love to work word searches. I did home health when I was able to and I loved it. I've always loved old people, and now I'm old! I have 5 beautiful girls, most of them working. I live with my 3rd daughter; she doesn't work because she takes care of me! I've been doing therapy here at Ranchwood and I'll continue exercises at home. I had a fall and broke my femur. I had bad thoughts about falling, but not about therapy, I've had therapy before at home and it got me back to normal so I knew if I worked hard with the therapists here it would pay off! I'm looking forward to going home and continuing my rehab until I'm fully back to my normal. Everyone here in the Rehab Department has been so helpful! I love you guys and girls! Thank you!!!
