🚧 Fortuna Railroad Crossing Update:

Great news, folks — the happy couple has reconciled! ❤️🌧️🚂
Turns out the rain and the tracks just needed a little therapy and some quality time. Their relationship is now stronger, healthier, and officially open to the public again.

So go ahead and cruise on through the crossing like the proud third wheel you are. No rerouting to 9E needed… unless you just enjoy the scenery. 😄
Drive safe and enjoy the reunion tour!

Due to today being a burn day and cooler weather being here, many residents may be planning outdoor burning. For those living in the unincorporated areas of Yuma County, please remember that outdoor burning regulations apply.

A burn permit is required for all open burning except warming fires, cooking fires, branding fires and firefighter training. Fires must be kept at least 50 feet from any structure, including sheds, and a water supply must be on-site before ignition. Burning weeds in place is not permitted.

Rural metro has responded to multiple structure fires directly caused by burning weeds in place. Please help prevent the next one and follow all safety guidelines provided with your permit to protect life and property.

To apply for a burn permit or ask questions, please contact Rural Metro Fire Dept at 928-782-4757.

Well folks, it’s closed again… apparently the rain and the tracks are in a long-term relationship and needed some “alone time.” 🌧️🚂

Guess we’re all taking the scenic route until further notice. Plan to reroute to 9E if you’re trying to access HWY 95 or Fortuna Rd.
