We're happy to welcome Adrianna De La Vara, FNP, to the Onvida Health family!

Adrianna is a family nurse practitioner specializing in gastroenterology. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University in Millcreek, UT and is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Her approach to care focuses on preventive care and health promotion, supporting patients in maintaining long-term digestive health and overall well-being.

Our very first Teddy Bear Clinic in San Luis was truly something special! 🧸🧡

Last night, with the support of Gadsden Elementary School District #32, we had the opportunity to bring families together for a fun experience as part of Kinder Night at San Luis Preschool, helping little ones get ready for their exciting transition to kindergarten.

It was a joy seeing kids and families take part in a hands-on activity where children could “care” for their teddy bears while learning about health in a fun and friendly way.

A heartfelt thank you to our Family Medicine San Luis team and Family & Community Medicine residents for your time, energy and support in making this event possible. Your dedication helped create a welcoming space for learning, connection and community.

We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us and participated. We look forward to continuing to grow experiences like this for our San Luis community.

Join us in welcoming Preston Gable, MD, to Onvida Health!

Dr. Gable earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine in Minneapolis, MN and completed both his internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology fellowship at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, CA. He's board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology.

His clinical interests include breast, prostate and lung cancers, as well as cancer prevention and benign hematology. He is committed to treating every patient with dignity and respect while providing the highest quality care possible.

The Foundation of Onvida Health proudly hosted its inaugural Women for Wellness Brunch, and our community showed up in a powerful way.

Community members came together with a shared purpose: supporting the health and well-being of women in our region. Together, this incredible group raised $39,500 to help expand access to important women’s health programs.

These funds will directly support:
💜 Your Health Matters: A Women's Health Symposium — an educational event designed to empower women with expert-led conversations on the health topics that matter most.
💜 Postpartum Hypertension Support Program — a program dedicated to improving outcomes for new mothers experiencing high blood pressure after pregnancy.

This event marks the beginning of something special, and we’re just getting started.

What a wonderful day at the Children's Museum of Yuma County! 🧸✨

Last week, we hosted a special Onvida Health employee day where team members and their families got to experience our newest interactive healthcare exhibit. From the mini clinic and ambulance to the Teddy Bear Clinic, kids stepped into the roles of doctors, nurses, EMTs and more, learning what it means to care for others through play.

It was so special to see our Onvida Health families connect, explore and make memories together.

This exhibit is open to the entire community! Come explore, imagine and play alongside your little ones.

We’re proud to welcome Parneet Parekh, DO, to Onvida Health!

Dr. Parekh is an anesthesiologist serving patients at Onvida Health Yuma Medical Center. She earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Touro University in Henderson, NV, completed her general surgery internship at Mountain View Hospital in Las Vegas, NV and her anesthesiology residency at Kendall Regional Medical Center in Miami, FL.

Dr. Parekh is dedicated to providing attentive, high-quality anesthesia care with a focus on patient safety and comfort.

Join us in celebrating Krista Mantica, RN, the 2026 recipient of the Diana Karina Robles Lizarraga Memorial Scholarship.

Krista has been caring for our community at Onvida Health since 2022 and is deeply connected to the nursing community, volunteering with the Yuma County Nurses Foundation and Arizona Nurses Association, serving on the board of Rio Colorado Chapter 7 and honoring lives as a member of the Southern Arizona Nurses Honor Guard. She is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing and plans to continue into the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program at Grand Canyon University.

This scholarship honors Diana, a beloved ICU nurse remembered for her compassion, mentorship and dedication to her fellow nurses. Established by her loved ones, it reflects her passion for education and is awarded each year on her birthday, April 20.

This year, thanks to the generosity of Dr. Shawn Hermeanu, the scholarship has been endowed, continuing her legacy by supporting future nurses for generations to come.
