March has truly been a month to remember at the Lodge! 🌷✨

From getting creative with crafts, to enjoying our cozy theater days, diving into meaningful moments at Bible study, and tapping our toes to the live music of Mr. Jadon Barber—there’s been a little something special for everyone.

It’s been a beautiful blend of laughter, creativity, reflection, and joy. If March was this much fun, we can only imagine what’s ahead! 🎶💛

We had a shamrockin’ good time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day at The Lodge at Lane! 🍀💚

Our day started off on a festive note with refreshing Shamrock smoothies, setting the tone for a day full of fun and laughter. Residents enjoyed plenty of socialization, sharing smiles and great conversation throughout the day.

The excitement continued with a gold coin scavenger hunt that brought out everyone’s playful spirit, followed by a table full of sweet treats that made the celebration even sweeter! 🍬✨

We wrapped up the day with our crowd favorite—Big Bucks Pot of Gold Bingo! The room was full of cheers, friendly competition, and lucky winners.

It was a day filled with joy, connection, and a whole lot of Irish cheer!💚💚💚

We had such a wonderful time welcoming the amazing volunteers from Copper Mill!
Their visit brought so much joy and energy to our community as they spent the afternoon engaging with our residents through festive Easter crafts, fun table games, and plenty of laughter.

It was heartwarming to see everyone gathered around, getting creative, sharing stories, and simply enjoying each other’s company. Moments like these remind us how special connection and community truly are. The smiles, the laughter, and the spirit of togetherness made it a day to remember.

A huge thank you to the volunteers from Copper Mill for taking the time to brighten our residents’ day. Your kindness and enthusiasm mean so much to us! 💛

A big thank you to the East Baton Rouge Parish Book Mobile for stopping by to serve our residents on the first Thursday of each month! It’s always such a treat to browse through great books and enjoy the wonderful service they bring right to our community.

We were also lucky to have Mr. Brett Boswick with us, serenading our residents with sweet sounds and fun music that had everyone smiling, tapping their toes & dancing. His music always brings such joy and energy to the day!

To top it all off, we even snuck in an afternoon matinee featuring the new movie Song Sung Blue. It was truly a fun and uplifting day filled with music, stories, and great company. Days like these remind us how special our community really is!

Despite the dreary weather outside today, we still found a sweet way to celebrate National Pound Cake Day—Louisiana style! Our residents enjoyed a delicious homemade strawberry shortcake made with fresh strawberries straight from Ponchatoula. The bright, sweet flavors were the perfect treat to bring a little sunshine to a cloudy day.

After dessert, we kept the cozy vibes going by settling in for a relaxing Wednesday afternoon movie matinee. There’s nothing better than good company, a sweet treat, and a great movie to make a gray day feel warm and special!

We kicked off the week strong on Monday with energizing exercise led by McKey Fitness, getting our bodies moving and our spirits lifted 💪✨

On Tuesday, we headed out for a fun community outing to enjoy a delicious seafood meal at Ruby’s (formerly known as Duke’s). Great food, great company, and lots of smiles made it a highlight of the week 🦐🐟😊

Wednesday brought a cozy afternoon matinee with the classic film On Golden Pond, perfect for relaxing, reminiscing, and enjoying a little movie magic 🎬💛

We wrapped things up on a sweet note with Flippin’ Flap Jack Friday, treating everyone to a tasty stack of pancakes that had smiles all around 🥞😋

From fitness and food to films and fun, it was a week full of connection, laughter, and memorable moments—and we can’t wait to do it all again next week!

💪✨ Workout Wednesday & Movie Magic! 🎬✨

We had a fantastic Workout Wednesday with Brooke from Pinnacle Home Health! She always brings the energy, encouragement, and fun that keeps our residents moving and smiling. From stretches to strength exercises, it was a great way to boost our spirits and stay active together.

After working up a sweat, we cooled down with an afternoon matinee featuring the classic Grease! Residents sang along to their favorite tunes and enjoyed a little trip down memory lane with Danny and Sandy. 🎶💃🕺
