HEAT ADVISORY…
wants to remind everyone to Stay Cool and Hydrate!
A good estimate of how much water you need on a normal day is to divide your weight in half and drink that many ounces of water. So, if your weight is 150 lbs, you should have about 75 ounces or 9-10 cups of water per day.
But in the heat, everyone needs more water. If you are working or exercising in the hot weather, a good rule of thumb is to drink 8 ounces of water (1 cup) every 15 to 20 minutes during your outdoor activities. CAUTION: ***be sure to talk to your doctor if you have limitations on fluid intake.
