Everyone, give a warm welcome to Renee!
Renee has been here for 4 months now! This is a little about her:
Renee has an 8-year-old daughter, Siena, who is her whole world. Renee also has two very spoiled rescue dogs (Bella, a 7-year-old shar pei mix) and (Cami, a 6-month-old Golden retriever). She also has two cats at home. Renee’s very first job was at an assisted living home working as an activities assistant. She ended up doing a little bit of everything while working there. They called her the jack of all trades because she did caregiving, personal caregiving, activities, serving, cooking, and housekeeping. Once she went away to college, she would come back on breaks, and they would still have her cook. While Renee was going to college to get her Associate's degree in culinary arts, she graduated and moved to Columbus for a short period of time. While Renee was there, she worked in another long-term care facility in Dublin. Renee started as a chef and then moved up into the Dietary Manager position within several months. Renee has also most recently worked in the school districts where she was managing and running the cafeterias. She really enjoyed the schools; however, Renee’s heart always pulls her back to the elderly and this type of work. Renee is very thankful that she has the opportunity to showcase her knowledge, help her team, and interact with the residents. Renee enjoys being able to prepare the food for the special events. Renee really loves working at Brookdale.
