Another year blinked by and somehow we’re already back to one of our favorite days of the year: the Annual Christmas Sweater Contest 🎄

As always, there’s a little friendly competition, a cash prize on the line, and the most coveted reward of all… bragging rights. The team showed up with some absolute standouts this year and now it’s your turn to weigh in.

Here’s how it works: comment with the number of the sweater you like best. The winner will be crowned Friday based on the highest number of votes.

Important note: While #13 is VERY cute, he is unfortunately disqualified due to being underage, employed strictly as emotional/therapeutic support and lacking both pockets and the legal ability to spend prize money.

Happy Birthday to the unforgettable and forever original, Lisa!

She brings the fun, the energy, and the unmistakable cackle to our office, while “Swift”ly yielding a scaler and floss as a phenomenal hygienist AND helping to keep our standards sky high to stay at the top of our game. She is fully in her “Mom Era” being her son’s biggest fan, Dwight’s devoted dog mom and doing a great job of growing baby #2.

Patients adore her, she is caring and kind, she has MANY signature catch phrases, laughter follows wherever she goes and our office simply wouldn’t be the same without her heart and humor. We know this next year will be an exciting one for her and can’t wait to watch her live out her Wi$h Li$t!

She’s got a heart of gold, a sense of humor that keeps us laughing every single day, and doesn’t know a stranger (seriously, she somehow knows literally everyone!).

Last week, we had the distinct privilege and honor of celebrating twelve years with our Janet AND wishing her well as she begins her next chapter of retirement. And today marks the exact anniversary of those twelve years. TWELVE YEARS! Twelve amazing, crazy, chaotic, fun and wonderful years with our Janet.

Janet is one of our OG crew with Dr Mike and started as Dr Chris’s assistant. She came to our office after spending 30 years assisting Dr Cater and a few years in between caring for her dear, not so little anymore, grandsons.

Janet has been the kind of employee, teammate and friend that comes along once in a lifetime. She brought experience, wisdom and a sense of calm to our office and has not once wavered from this. She was always the first to arrive to the office and always offered to be the last to leave. She ensured the day was set up for success and Dr Mike had everything he could have needed to take care of our patients. She held hands, listened to life stories, calmed anxieties and supported our patients as if they were the only people in the office. She anticipated every need for care, assisted Dr Mike in a way that only a lifetime of experience can provide, listened to and laughed at all of his hilarious stories a million times over, was the first to connect with him on all the latest sports happenings, had a quiet confidence that always grounded everyone around her and she did it all with such grace. She joined in on all of our hare-brained ideas of hilarious office activities, outings and shenanigans and has always had the best eye rolls. She was with our office and families through many transitions and growth and was amazing about keeping up with all of our changes. Janet was a role model for everyone around her and someone who we are incredibly thankful will always be a part of our family. She was the yin to our yang and we aren’t quite sure things will ever feel normal without her.

Thank you doesn’t seem like quite enough, but we aren’t sure the right words really exist. Thank you, Janet, for absolutely everything. We are beyond blessed to have had the opportunity to work with and learn from you all of these years. We love you more than you’ll ever know and are so excited for you to have this next phase of your life to do whatever the heck you want to do!

Happy Birthday to our one and only Olivia!

Today we celebrated the birthday of our sweet Olivia. There’s no one quite like her — a road tripping, cheese-loving, book-devouring, Amish-country-adventuring, music-enthusiast, video game-playing, sass-delivering super hygienist who somehow manages to make every conversation interesting and every patient feel right at home.

From her wildly entertaining résumé (seriously, the jobs this girl has had in her youth before hygiene school) to her quick wit and genuine heart, Olivia keeps us laughing, learning, and loving life a little more every day. She’s a kind, caring, supportive and fun teammate who is a core member of our team.

Here’s to another year of her adventures, playlists, and perfectly timed comebacks. We’re so lucky to have you, Liv!

Amanda is the very definition of positive energy and kindness. She’s passionate about dentistry and helping others, goes above and beyond to make sure every patient has the best experience possible, and keeps our office running seamlessly while ensuring Dr. Mike has all the support he needs (and maybe a few good laughs along the way).

She’s an EFDA extraordinaire, the queen of Invisalign and a master of mixing hard work with humor, competition, and heart. Amanda, you make every day brighter just by being you!

Last week marked the end of an era and beginning of a new adventure for our LeighAnn. After nearly 9 amazing years, we’re saying farewell (for now) to someone who has truly been a core member and heart of Sulens Dental Studio. LeighAnn has been a constant source of kindness, positivity and fun energy— and her smiling face will be deeply missed by our team and patients alike.

She’s off on a new adventure that will give her more precious time with her family, and while we’re sad to see her go, we’re incredibly excited for what’s ahead.

LeighAnn, thank you for everything you’ve contributed over the years. You’ll always be a part of the Sulens Dental Studio family. Wishing you all the best in your new position and this next chapter!

This past weekend, we had the absolute joy of celebrating our amazing hygienist, Natalie, as she tied the knot with her all-around awesome and perfect match, Aaron.

It was the most beautiful day — truly picture perfect — which couldn’t have been more fitting for such a wonderful couple and the bright future ahead of them. We feel so blessed to have been part of the celebration and to witness their love surrounded by family, friends, and their sweet baby girl, Ellie.

Wishing you a lifetime of happiness, good health and endless smiles! Cheers to love, laughter & happily ever after!

Lordy Lordy look who’s FORTY!!! Monday we celebrated the one and only Jonathan by doing our best to look like him in every way!!

We’re not saying Jonathan’s look is iconic, but we did buy (or temporarily dye) salt-and-pepper wigs and wore polos to match him.

He’s the mastermind of benefits, king of treatment plans, and keeps our toy box legendary as our beloved CTO (Chief Toy Officer). Jonathan is easily a favorite among patients and our team as he keeps the patients happy and informed AND the staff laughing with his sarcasm and quick wit.

Happy 40th to the man who can quote dental benefits like poetry, keep the toy box busier than Leni’s on a summer night and make us laugh until our cheeks hurt. Keeping on doing what you do, we love you! Happy happy birthday, JS!!
