DEBRA JEAN FLUHARTY ANGLES of Zanesville, 73 left Earth to begin a new journey by meeting up with Jesus, her Lord Savior at 12:52pm, Sunday August 31, 2025, at Genesis Morrison House from Metastasized Breast Cancer. With the help of God, she had previously battled & won her fight against several different cancers in 2009 & 2010, after deciding against chemo & radiation and going only with several major surgeries to remove the enemy. She gave God total credit for her healing & remission for 15 years of extended time on earth with her family!

Born December 23, 1951, in Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio to Eloise Gwendolyn Whyde Fluharty & the late Warren Frederick Fluharty (1924-2005), both of Zanesville was the oldest of 5 children.

Debbie was married to the late Rolley Charles (Bud) Angles (1947-2024) on June 17, 1972, the son of the late Carroll G. & the late Ruth I Anderson Evans Angles of Zanesville. The late Pastor Lawrence Shaw officiated at the Valley Assembly of God Church in Gaysport, OH, where both Bud & Debbie were members.

Debbie, a 1969 graduate of Philo High School with majors in office studies, held CE certificates in the National Secretary's Association & Supervisor Certificates in Accelerated Christian Education. She proudly served, most days, as a Professional Home Systems Analyst, aka Wife & Mom! However, she held several part-time positions over the years, as she didn't like being idle. Many of which were volunteer, thru-out her life which stretched from her hometown to Phoenix, AZ. & back. They included that of an executive real estate secretary, assistant manager, bookkeeper, & clerk typist in Arizona, & secretary/bookkeeper, parts inspector, ignition welder, school office volunteer, 911 & delivery service dispatcher, supervisor, secretary & teacher at TFG's former Grade 1 thru 12 ACE Christian Academy, & lastly, a representative in Customer Service for management at Colony Square Mall, when she retired due to her husband's health and her returning cancers & being told her chances of a long survival rate was very low. But she defied that & soon began her career as "Grandma!". She had also always been interested in the medical field & in 1983, became an Ohio State licensed advanced emergency medical technician when the first of two premature children were born. Her love though was in volunteering at ZCS (Pioneer Elementary) & Scouting America (ZTC Pack 145 & later Troop 128 where over time, she held several leader positions). She & her husband were awarded the title of Volunteer Scouters of the Year in 2003 by MVC. She was one of the charter members of the ZCS Safe School Committee, a longtime member of the Muskingum County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society. She also previously enjoyed & regularly helped administrators do research for several local, FB group history & genealogy pages as well as monitoring scanner traffic for a couple Scanner & news pages & later served as the main admin & history research tech for Joe Morrison's "Muskingum County" History/Photos/Memories group after Joe's untimely death in 2023. The Private Group page holds hundreds of histories and photos of Muskingum County & its former & present residents.

Debbie is survived by her two wonderful adult children, daughter Lucretia Hope (and husband Robert C. Frame), and son Nicholas Ryan (and wife Jessica DeBolt) Angles, mother Eloise Fluharty, four very precious grandchildren, Annaca Faith & Addalyn Grace Frame & Haylee Marie & Elizabeth Rose Angles and one on the way; three Brothers, Warren (Fred) Jr., & wife Cordia (Puddles) Davis Fluharty of Wooster, David M. & wife, Debbie Sweeney Fluharty of Elkhorn City, KY, & Charles E. & wife Carla Clapper Fluharty of Philo, one Aunt, Carolyn Paynter Fluharty of Florida, & a gazillion wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, friends & in-laws all over America.

She was preceded in death in November 2024 by her husband, Bud; his parents in 1953 & 2000; her sister, Nancy Dennis in January 2024, & her father, Fred Fluharty, Sr. in August 2005. Many other close family members & friends preceded her, all of which she claimed were overseeing the building of her mansion on the golden streets of Heaven, including her Grandparents, Warren & Beulah Fluharty & Fred & Nettie Whyde.

Funeral Services will begin at the Burrell Funeral Home, 414 LaSalle Street (next to the skating rink) on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 12pm until 1pm with funeral services starting at 1pm where a car line will be immediately formed to proceed to the Woodlawn Cemetery, with a dove release and closing prayer will be held at an open graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery. Debbie insists that folks save their money and not purchase flowers, but consider Monetary contributions be made to the Genesis Morrison House or to Scouting America Troop 1530 that her granddaughters are involved in or to Scouting America Troop 128, that she was a lifetime member of.
