Sarcoma Awareness Month is celebrated every July to raise awareness about sarcoma, a rare and challenging type of cancer that can develop in many parts of the body. Sarcomas are malignant cells that form in connective tissues like bones, muscles, nerves, and blood vessels. There are around 100 different subtypes of sarcoma, including soft tissue sarcoma, bone sarcoma, and gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST).

National Cleft & Craniofacial Awareness & Prevention Month (NCCAPM) is observed every July not only to bring awareness to cleft and craniofacial defects but to share available resources for families. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), cleft lip and cleft palate are the most common congenital Craniofacial anomalies in the United States.

Shepherd's Care Medical Clinic will have free clothing available for those who need them on Wednesday, November 15 from 1:30-3:30pm. We will also be hosting our monthly food distribution the same day. We look forward to seeing you there.
