We are VERY excited to announce that as of Monday, May 11, 2020, we have resumed all routine and medical care!

As recommended by the CDC and the American Optometric Association (AOA), we will continue to follow certain safety protocols such as social distancing, wearing masks, and disinfecting and sanitizing between patients.

We are very excited to announce the birth of Annalise Wetzel! She is the beautiful baby girl of Christina, our optometric technician, and Scott Wetzel. She was born on April 21st and weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz.

Both mom and baby are doing great, and we are thankful that during these uncertain times, there are still so many reasons to celebrate. ♥️

[UPDATE as of 3/19/20] As recommended by the CDC, we are rescheduling all of our routine exams until at least 3 weeks from now. We are still able to see emergency medical appointments, so don’t hesitate to call our office if you feel like you are having a medical issue involving your eyes.

If you have glasses or contacts ready for pickup at our office, you need to pick these up ASAP. Call before heading this way as we may be working on a reduced schedule in the near future.

Also, if you are low on contacts, you need to order immediately to avoid any interruption in your supply.

As always, the staff at NC Eye Associates and Dr. Loflin value you as our patients, and we want you to stay healthy as we all navigate through these unprecedented circumstances.

For those of you who don't already know him, Dr. Kevin Loflin is the co-founder of NC Eye Associates and practices at our Zebulon office. Dr. Loflin is a North Carolina local and attended UNC Chapel Hill and Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.

For over 20 years, he has provided comprehensive eye care to his patients across Eastern North Carolina. Dr. Loflin has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of numerous ocular diseases and conditions including dry eye, glaucoma, keratoconus, and macular degeneration. He sees patients of all ages including small children.

In his free time, Dr. Loflin likes to fish, travel, cook, and spend time with his wife, Amy, and their three children, Parker, Morgan, and Blake.
