One of City on a Hill's valued partners is Community Mental Health of Ottawa County. Currently, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) is considering making changes to mental health plans, which could have very negative consequences for the entire system. Please see the attached information put out by the Community Mental Health Association (CMHA).

This event brings together dedicated medical to provide no cost wellness exams, Pap tests, and mammograms to the low income uninsured women of West Michigan. Special thanks to Itty Bitty Bar, M.W. Free clinics fill a critical gap in our healthcare. Free clinics are the safety net UNDER the safety net. Free clinics provide care for those who cannot afford insurance but do not qualify for Medicaid. We need your continued support to provide quality medical and mental health care for our communities.
Despite earning $17 an hour, Brown is stuck in a frustrating gap: she earns too much to qualify for Medicaid but not enough to receive employer-sponsored health insurance.
