Job description
Parkview Adult Foster Care is a Christian group home for 12 wonderful, developmentally disabled adults. We are located in the heart of downtown Zeeland. For our Cook position, experience with developmentally disabled adults is not required, but would be beneficial. You must have experience cooking for large groups, and have a basic understanding of nutrition and food safety. Must be stable, dependable, possess initiative, and work independently with limited supervision. Responsibilities for this role also include grocery shopping for the home, and maintaining the kitchen, pantry, and freezers.
This position pays $18.54 per hour, and you would work approximately 15-20 hours each week. The hours are somewhat flexible (for example, you could complete the grocery shopping and meal preparation in the morning, afternoon, or evening: whatever would work best for you!), but you would need to prepare dinner for the residents by 5pm each weeknight. During the Fall and Winter months, dinner does not need to be prepared on Wednesdays. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday with no weekends.
