BIG LIFE UPDATE….
God did it again. 💛

You know the saying, “God laughs at our plans”? Whew… I know He cracking up at me and what I thought I’d be doing this upcoming year at the salon.

Sometimes the next chapter of life opens when you least expect it. I’m excited and grateful to share that I’ve been accepted into DePaul University’s College of Education to pursue my Master’s Degree in Special Education through the AUSL Teacher Residency! 📚✨

For over a decade, 14 years to be exact 💪🏾👌🏾 I’ve had the honor and pleasure of owning my own salon and doing what I love, serving through my chair. Now, I’m expanding my purpose into the classroom, helping students who need it most. For those who truly know me, you know this aligns with who I am.

I’m happy, excited, nervous… but most of all, grateful for this opportunity.

Starting June 21st, my salon appointments will shift to Saturdays and every other Sunday. If my schedule opens up at any time during these 12 months, I’ll be sure to announce it — but please don’t wait until the last minute to book your appointments!!!

THE SALON IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE!!! It’s just evolving with me.

✨Cheers 🥂 to 13 years of owning my own business. 22 years of doing hair. Countless heads, hearts, prayers, lessons, and miracles along the way.

This past season has reminded me that the journey matters just as much as the destination.
I’m grateful for every client who trusted my hands, every lesson that stretched me, and every moment God covered me when I didn’t even realize I needed it. To be recognized—unexpectedly and lovingly—by the city, my family, friends,my clients, my church family in front of the congregation truly touched my heart in a way words can’t fully explain. 💛😍🥰💙

This is more than hair.
This is purpose.
This is obedience.
This is my legacy in motion.

I want to say Thank you to my God 🙌🏾🙏🏾and to everyone who has supported, prayed, booked, shared, encouraged, and believed in me, sometimes even before I fully believed in myself.
Here’s to growth, elevation, and continuing to walk boldly into what God has next. ✨

✨He’s getting a Hydro detox treatment 💙… in this winter season and in this area, our hair tends to get a little drier than normal and getting Hydro steam and detox treatments will help maintain the integrity of your hair whether it is in locs or a press curl or chemical straighten … ❤️

When they come all the way from Michigan to get their hair done… Leeeettttssssss gooo!!! 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾👌🏾💕 the before and after… She wanted to keep her roots dark, so we just touched up the color on the ends and gave her daughter, a cute simple braid style with a little green color on the ends as well … ❤️
