My Favorite serum for Summer!
It isn’t quite summer yet here in Northern California, but it's certainly starting to feel like it! We just experienced a heat wave this past weekend, and I was sure to soak it all in. I love the sun and I will gratefully take in as much as I can, especially in our Bay Area region which is often cloudy.

Many choose to switch to our Sun Serum this time of year. Using it before summer will strengthen the skin’s ability to respond to the sun in a healthy way when it’s needed. This moisturizer is a mega dose of carotenoids, tannins and flavonoids helping to protect our skin from UV damage.

Our Sun Serum contains Bilberries, Purple Concord Grapes, Sea Buckthorn, Cranberries, and Raspberry. These plants are known for their Flavonoid content. Flavonoids are most often easily water soluble and found in whole fresh plants, flowers and fruits. However, many are oil soluble when they are not removed from the oil during the refinement process.

Flavonoids strengthen capillary and cell walls, and they strengthen collagen by assisting with cross-linking fibers. Flavonoids also prevent enzyme oxidation and have been researched for their ability to inhibit tyrosine production - both of which play a role in the slowing of hyperpigmentation. In the plant world, these chemicals act as sun protection for plants, and it's logical to consider they would help us with that well. The Flavonoids Quercetin and Rutin specifically both perform well in UV damage prevention. Those can be found in abundance in plants like Raspberry, Cranberry and Nettle - again, all found in our Sun Serum!

Our Cleasing Oil: Deep Clarity is back! It has been unavailable for almost a year now and I am so happy to announce it has returned.
Here are some of my favorite things about it....
On a surface level the Clarity Oil brightens and pulls debris and oxidized darkened sebum from pores. By doing this, it reduces the appearance of pores. It contains Turmeric which evens skin tone and reduces inflammation.
On a deeper level, the essential oils of Rosemary and Ylang Ylang chosen for this cleanser have a direct impact on stagnation - they improve movement of lymph and circulation. These oils also relax both muscles and nervous system. In these ways, the Clarity Cleansing Oil can lead to a deeper tissue detox (or ‘unburdening’, for those of you who aren’t a fan of the term detox).
Our Safflower and Sunflower Seed oils are epic! They are pressed locally exclusively for us each month. They are unrefined to a level I haven’t found elsewhere. The nutrients within or attached to the lipids hold great benefit, and the less refinement the better!
Our Cleansing Oil also contains hydro-distilled Green Mandarin. This beautiful subtle florally citrus ingredient was custom distilled just for us. It is uplifting and balancing.
Tamanu and Black Cumin are also superpower ingredients included for their harmonizing effect on our microbiome, and for their ability to reduce inflammation.
Have you tried our Oil Cleanser? This product is one of our only products that is not suitable for extremely sensitive skin, specifically those with autoimmune concerns or whose lymph and tissues may already have a high burden. I personally have mild autoimmune concerns and use it a couple times per week for a deeper clean accompanied by facial compressing to maximize lymphatic drainage.
