Always known as a generous man, Milous J. Reese was the first African American to receive the Alabama Chiropractor of the year. This was in 1979, shortly before his retirement. He was later granted a Lifetime Achievement Award in 1993 and even has a day named in his honor in Alabama (Dr. Milous J. Reese Day)!
