Play OnWords is a pediatric therapy center that focuses on supporting the development and education of our USVI children!

We believe that children and their families learn and grow together. A solid foundation, established early on in life, indicates a positive prognosis for future success. Each child develops at their own rate and we aim to meet them where their current strengths are, while assisting them in making progress towards their goals. We help children learn the skills required to independently engage in t

he world around them.

Play OnWords Therapeutic Services came about from a passion for serving our vibrant community. The children of the Virgin Islands are enthusiastic, unique, and thriving. Our goal is to provide services to ensure everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential!

🎉 ʙɪɢ ɴᴇᴡꜱ ᴀᴛ ᴘʟᴀʏ ᴏɴᴡᴏʀᴅꜱ! 🎉
We are incredibly proud to share that Ms. Jeri Parker has officially completed her certification as an Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist! We now have two at POW! This 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 training focuses on the muscles of the face and mouth—supporting proper breathing, swallowing, tongue posture, and oral habits that are foundational for speech, feeding, and overall development. 💪👅

Jeri’s advanced training adds tremendous value to our team, allowing us to provide more comprehensive, evidence-based care to children with speech delays, oral motor challenges, tongue ties, and more. Designed for children ages 5 & under, this weekly session pairs themed stories with hands-on activities to support early learning and connection through play. Caregivers are encouraged to join in the fun!

Last weekend, our team traded therapy tools for tongs and brought the heat at King of the Wing! Just like in therapy, we believe in blending creativity, care, and community—only this time, it was in the form of applewood smoked jerk wings and citrus slaw. 🍗💚 Huge thank you to our amazing volunteers for showing up and showing out! We were proud to support Coral Reef Academy, a school serving children with different needs, and to celebrate the power of play in every setting.

It took us a little while to get the photos, but the joy from our Rock the Spectrum event still shines just as brightly 💙💛❤️

Hosted by Play OnWords Therapeutic Services, Rock the Spectrum is our annual celebration of Autism Acceptance Month—bringing families together for a fun-filled, inclusive day of play, connection, and community. From sensory stations to creative activities, this event was all about honoring neurodiversity and creating spaces where all children can thrive.
