Cancer Support VI Our mission is to ensure no Virgin Islander fights cancer alone.

22/11/2025

From Pinktober to Movember, CSVI stands with women, men, and families touched by any form of cancer. These awareness months remind us that every story matters, every early detection counts, and every act of support makes a meaningful difference.

Awareness saves lives. Support sustains them. And together, we help ensure that no one in the Virgin Islands faces cancer alone.

"The impact CSVI has on cancer patients and their loved ones in the Virgin Islands is truly life changing. We give hope during the darkest times and help people maintain some sense of dignity and strength as they fight. To be part of an organization that lifts families up at their most vulnerable is both humbling and deeply meaningful. I am honored to serve on this board and to contribute to a mission that ensures every person battling cancer in the Virgin Islands knows their community stands with them, every step of the way."

-Pash Daswani, CSVI Board member

When a loved one faces cancer, the entire family feels the weight of the journey. Caregivers often become the quiet heroes, coordinating appointments, managing work and home life, and offering constant emotional support.

Thanks to generous local donors, CSVI helps ease that burden for Virgin Islands families. We provide financial assistance for treatment-related expenses, but we also offer guidance and support to caregivers who are navigating unfamiliar systems, tough decisions, and overwhelming moments.

Your support makes sure no family has to walk this path alone.

A Patient’s Journey

“Thanks to your kindness, I’ve been able to focus more on recovering and healing, knowing that vital expenses are being eased. The generosity of Cancer Support VI has lifted a significant burden, and I feel truly blessed to have been the recipient of such an assistance.

I recognize and salute your compassion and commitment your organization extends to individuals and families facing challenging health journeys.
I deeply admire the work you do and will share my story as one of the many touched by your generosity.”

Every story of hope begins with someone in our community, maybe a neighbor, a friend, or a family member, who found strength through the support of CSVI.
Your Giving Tuesday gift keeps this circle of care going.

Our Founding Supporters.

For 20 years, CSVI has stood beside cancer warriors in the Virgin Islands and we have only been able to do this because of the generous donors who believed in our mission from the very beginning.

To everyone who has supported our operational needs, funded patient grants, and kept this work moving forward year after year: Thank You. Your commitment has made CSVI stronger, steadier, and able to serve more families than ever before.

You helped build this foundation. You continue to sustain it. And together, we carry this mission forward for the next 20 years and beyond!

If you would like to help us continue our work for cancer warriors in the territory, we invite you to give today. We can't do it with out your support.

Then & Now.

From a few assistance requests a year to hundreds today, our reach has grown, but our mission remains the same: to stand with every cancer warrior in the Virgin Islands.

Two decades later, the impact of you local giving continues to ripple across our islands.

We'd love to introduce to you again, our founder, Director Emeritus and breast cancer survivor, Charlene Kehoe, who served the organization for over 15 years.

Behind every story of hope is a group of people who care deeply about this community.

Our Cancer Support VI Board is made up of dedicated volunteers who give their time, heart, and expertise to keep our mission strong. They work quietly behind the scenes to make sure patient support doesn't stop and that every dollar raised stays right here in the Virgin Islands, helping our community when they need it most.

We’re so grateful for their commitment and compassion, 20 years strong and still growing together for our community.

CSVI has assisted over 2,900 cancer patients through grants exceeding $2.7 million. Our mission is to work with patients, medical institutions, and community organizations to support those impacted by cancer.

How It All Began.

In 2005, Cancer Support VI began with a simple mission, to make sure no one in our Virgin Islands community faces cancer alone. What started as a handful of caring hearts has become a vital support lifeline for hundreds of patients each year.

This Giving Tuesday, we celebrate 20 years of compassion and community, and every dollar raised stays right here in the territory.

This year, Cancer Support VI celebrates 20 years of serving our Virgin Islands community. That’s 20 years of compassion, connection, and care ensuring awareness, advocacy and action.

As we approach , we’re taking you on a special journey: 20 Stories in 20 Days! For the next 20 days leading up to , we will be sharing 20 stories about our past, our people and our purpose, highlighting how your support has touched lives across the Territory. From the very first grants to today’s patient assistance programs, every story is a reminder that 100% of the funds we raise stay right here in the Virgin Islands, supporting local cancer patients and the operations that make that help possible.

Follow along, be inspired, and see how together, we’ve built 20 years of impact and how your Giving Tuesday gift keeps hope local.
