Come and join me this Monday, May 11th @ 8am on the far right side of the beautiful Hull Bay for a deep stretch/slow flow SUP yoga class. This class is perfect for anyone who wants to take their time, ease into their morning practice with deep breaths and long stretches, and leave feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the day! ☀️ Who doesn’t want that??
There are only 6 spaces for this class, so private message me (Virginia Schmidt) to reserve your board! Online booking will resume in the coming weeks as I get the website updated.
✨💦Things will be set up a bit differently out on the water: We have a more secure anchoring system that holds both the front and back of the board, so while you will still have to work on balance and control, you will be more secure and stable than if you were only hooked in at one end. Also, the boards will be ready for you in the water, and we will be swimming out to them. They are very close to shore, and you should be able to walk out to them without having to get your hair wet! (Unless you’re short like me 😛) There are a few reasons we are using this method vs. you paddling out and hooking yourself into the lines:
1. The paddle isn’t necessary, as we do not need to paddle a long distance or around obstacles to reach the anchor line where we will practice. 2. It cuts out contact from unnecessarily handling equipment. 3. It feels AMAZING to take a nice cool dip before getting onto the board to practice. Even at 8am, it’s already getting warm out! Besides, you were going fall in a few times throughout class anyway, right? Might as well take the plunge and get it out of the way! 4. Hooking in can be tricky, and I am happy to handle all of the hard work for you so you can just hop on and get to it!
If you are worried about being able to hoist yourself up out of the water and onto the board, do not fear! I haven’t had a student yet that I wasn’t able to lift. Everyone is light in the water! There’s really no graceful way to get onto the boards, and NO ONE is coming out of this class dry, so embrace the experience and just give it your best!
There is plenty of beach parking, although I would say just be careful parking in deeper sand as you may get stuck without 4-wheel drive.
Well I think that covers everything! I am SO happy to be offering classes at my favorite bay, so near and dear to my ❤️. Can’t wait to share the experience with you all!
All my love,
Virginia Schmidt
