Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy would like to wish all the wonderful women of STX a Happy Mother’s Day. We would also like to recognize Janine Schuster and her mother Rita.

Women in Business Wednesday : In honor of Mother's Day, this week we celebrate the mother-daughter duo of Rita and Janine Schuster. The Schuster family has a long history on St. Croix, and both Rita and Janine strive to preserve history and make the island community better. Mother Rita, rehabbed and restored the iconic two-story pink building at 41 King Street in Christiansted, and got the building recognized as a historic place by the St. Croix Historic Preservation Commission. Now, daughter Janine is running her fabulous perfumeria, Bougainvillea @ 41 King, out of the beautifully restored building. Janine also owns The Medicine Shoppe pharmacy, as well as being the Deputy Superintendent for St. Croix to The Florida and the Islands Regional Comprehensive Center (which provides technical assistance to state educational agencies to improve educational outcomes). These ladies are certainly creating quite a family legacy!
