Nursing team completed its annual presentation to the University of the Virgin Islands School of Nursing students, continuing to strengthen JFL’s Graduate Nurse Program and invest in the future of healthcare.

This semester, Zokia interned at the Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital & Medical Center in the pharmacy department, where she gained valuable insight into pharmacy operations and learned important employability skills such as professionalism, communication, and teamwork. Myth Busters: Know the Facts. Protect your Health

❌ MYTH: “My baby can leave the hospital without a car seat.”
✅FACT: A rear-facing infant car seat is REQUIRED before discharge.

Your baby’s safety starts from the very first ride home. Car seats reduce the risk of serious injury or death, and newborns must ride rear-facing for maximum protection.

With limited availability on the island and possible shipping delays, we encourage all expecting parents to:
✔️ Plan early
✔️ Order your car seat in advance
✔️ Install it before your due date
