Today, we’re wearing yellow in support of Endometriosis Awareness Day 💛

Endometriosis affects many women, often in ways that aren’t always visible. By showing up in yellow, our BVIHSA team is helping to raise awareness, spark conversation, and stand in support of those navigating this condition.

If you’ve been experiencing symptoms or have concerns, don’t wait, reach out and get checked. The BVI Health Services Authority team is here to support you every step of the way.

Let’s keep the conversation going and continue to look out for each other. You are not alone 💛

Living with Endometriosis 💛 | Health Watch (Campaign Continuation)

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month, and the BVI Health Services Authority continues its commitment to raising awareness about this often misunderstood condition affecting women - and even teenagers - across our community. As part of our ongoing awareness campaign, this Health Watch episode builds on the important conversations already started. We hear from Dr. Neveta Sutherland-Vaccianna alongside Miss BVI 2024, Adacia Adonis, who is living with endometriosis and using her platform to advocate for greater understanding and support.

Together, they share valuable insights on the signs and symptoms, the importance of early diagnosis, and why painful periods should never be ignored.

If you experience severe pelvic pain, heavy menstrual bleeding, or ongoing discomfort, we encourage you to speak with a BVIHSA healthcare professional.

That pain is not normal. Early detection and care can make a difference.

Join us in showing your support by wearing yellow on Friday, March 27.

Health Education is a strategic priority for the BVIHSA as we continue to shine a light on endometriosis, a condition that affects many women but is still widely misunderstood.

By raising awareness and sharing information, we empower women to recognise the signs, seek care, and start conversations about their health.

Watch, learn, and share.
