High Blood: Natural Solutions
Doc Willie Ong's advice
When your blood pressure is always over 140 over 90, it means you have high blood pressure. The ideal blood pressure is about 120 over 80. There are natural ways to lower your pressure:
1. Lose weight. When you are overweight, your blood pressure will increase. If you can lower your weight by 10 pounds, your blood pressure will also decrease by 10 points.
2. Cut back on eating salty foods. Avoid or reduce the use of salt, soy sauce, fish sauce and anchovies. Also reduce the food of noodles, daing, dry and sicira.
3. Eat vegetables, fruits and low-fat milk. Bananas have potassium and are very good for the heart.
4. Avoid pork and beef. Also avoid oily food like butter and cake. Just eat fatty fish like sardines, tilapia and bangus.
5. Reduce or stop drinking soft drinks and sweet juices. According to new research, too much sweetness causes diabetes and heart disease.
6. Reduce coffee consumption. Limit to 2 cups of coffee a day so that the pressure does not increase. Choose tea such as green tea.
7. Exercise 3 to 5 times per week. Do this for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Choose the exercise that is appropriate for your age. But make sure your blood pressure is normal before exercising.
8. Sleep 7 to 8 hours.
9. Cut back on work. Too much work can cause high blood pressure.
10. Quit smoking. Your blood pressure will increase by 10 points when you smoke. Your blood will thicken even more.
11. Reduce or stop drinking alcohol. Too much alcohol also damages the heart.
12. Don't always be angry. It is possible that your blood pressure will increase by 50 points when you are very angry.
13. Relax and just breathe deeply and slowly to reduce the pressure. Listen to good music.
14. Fight the hot weather. The hot climate also has an effect on high blood pressure. Drink enough water a day.
Important reminder: When your blood pressure exceeds 160 over 100 or you already feel symptoms, you need to take high blood pressure medicine. Consult your doctor.
