Recently, we went to our local thrift store and saw all her handmade gifts for sale. I watched her heart break as she gently touched one of the sweaters she made for our oldest granddaughter. She held back tears and reassured me that it was okay, saying she understood that kids might be embarrassed to wear grandma’s sweaters.
I was not as forgiving as she was. This was devastating and downright cruel. That very evening, I went back to the store, bought everything back, and prepared to teach my grandkids a lesson.

A WOMAN IN MY CHILD’S DRAWINGS LOOKED NOTHING LIKE ME — WHEN I FOUND OUT WHY, I CALLED MY LAWYER.

Since Christmas, my daughter Alice has been drawing a weird blond woman with a ponytail, who I have never seen. I HAVE CURLY BROWN HAIR, AND NONE OF MY FRIENDS FIT THE PICTURE.

Last Sunday, I picked up Alice from her grandma’s (my MIL) house, and she handed me her backpack full of more drawings. I could not hold it in any longer. When we got in the car, I asked her who the woman in the drawings was. WHAT SHE ANSWERED MADE ME SICK TO MY STOMACH.

"This is my new mommy, she lives in grandma's house. I get cookies when I draw her!"

I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO SHOWED UP TO MY GRANDMA'S BIRTHDAY — AFTER SEEING HER TEARS, I DECIDED TO TEACH MY FAMILY A LESSON

My Gran-Gran is the sweetest person alive. She practically raised me and my siblings while our parents were busy divorcing.

For her 83rd birthday, she planned an entire brunch at her house and, despite her health, got up at sunrise to BAKE HER OWN BREAD AND PASTRIES. She sent out invitations a week in advance, which she had DRAWN AND HANDWRITTEN HERSELF, DESPITE HER SHAKING HANDS.

On the day of her birthday, I arrived at the party 10 minutes late, gift in hand. AS I WALKED IN, I FOUND MY ANGEL OF A GRANDMOTHER REMOVING PLATES FROM THE TABLE AND POURING COFFEE DOWN THE SINK. MY HUSBAND TOOK THIS PHOTO OF ME JUST BEFORE I THREW MY RINGS INTO THE OCEAN – WAS I RIGHT IN TEACHING HIM A REAL LESSON?

This past Sunday, my husband and I were on a boat cruise together. We were just relaxing, talking, and having a good morning. All of a sudden, my husband became very serious and told me, "Baby, I'm so sorry, but I have to tell you something. I'm so sorry, please forgive me. I had an affair."

I was blinded by rage and hurt, and I'm not a confrontational person at all, so all I did was stand up, take my rings off, and throw them into the ocean.
