There you can also find description of each class. https://bookwhen.com/moonyoga Description of the classes: Classes suitable for beginners: Ashtanga beginners In this class we'll focus on the fundamentals of developing a strong Ashtanga practice as well as alignment to prepare you for more advanced classes and/or self practice. It will be a little slower than a typical Ashtanga class. All levels are welcome Gentle flow is a calming, stress-relieving yoga class to stretch and strengthen the body gradually. Using a Vinyasa (linking movement with breath) style, emphasis is on building awareness of the breath and the body. Asanas (postures) are practiced at a slower pace with attention to alignment and detail. Yoga props such as blankets, blocks, bolsters, chairs and straps are often used for safe practice, and to allow the body to fully achieve each position comfortably. Pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation, deep stretching and relaxation techniques are practiced throughout the class. Recommended for all levels looking for a soothing, relaxing, and restorative experience, especially those newer to yoga or working with special concerns or injuries Yin yoga is a slow paced style which focuses on deeper stretch, stretching connective tissue around the joints (mainly the knees, pelvis, sacrum, and spine) also helps to access deeper layers of fascia and release captive energies from within your body so you can forgive, love and be more confident. Yin aims at cultivating awareness of inner silence and of course improving your flexibility. Yin allows you to be in tune with your breathe which makes space in your body for change and acceptance. Restorative Vinyasa Vinyassa Restoration is a blended yoga class. In this class we incorporate the flow of Vinyassa (for building lean muscle tissue) and the deep relaxation of Restorative yoga (which is very yin and works with the fascia—connective tissue) to find great healing, health and vigor. The practice will start with flowing movements and lovely music playing this style will feel like a dance. Linking each pose with an inhale and exhale which will help you stay present physically and emotionally. Restorative side of our practice will give you the space to practice mindfulness and letting go of everything that doesn't serve you. Classes suitable to all levels: Ashtanga - Ashtanga is a dynamic practice which is characterized by the use of steady, regular ujjayi breath, muscular lock called bandhas, the connecting of breath and movement in vinyasa, and steady point of focus known as drishti. The combination of these powerful techniques is called tristana and it provides framework for the practice. The Ujjayi breath creates heat in the body, effectively warming the muscles up to allow deeper stretches during practice. The Bhandas (or internal locks) create stability and develop strength within the core muscles that helps to work up towards difficult poses. The Drishtis direct your gaze allowing for deeper focus during practice. During practice your body is producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind. The primary series is always the same. Start form warm up (Sun salutation A and B followed by standing postures, sitting postures with dipper stretch and finishing series) In our studio we will have three types of Ashtanga classes all modeled on Ashtanga Primary series Ashtanga modified practice of Primary series. Slightly faster than Beginners Ashtanga but also suitable to all levels. Pilates is a series of exercises designed to develop all-around body strength with a particular focus on the core muscles. Pilates helps to improve posture as well as prevent injury, and practitioners may find that it improves their performance in other forms of exercise including weightlifting and yoga. Suitable for all levels. Vinyasa flow Appropriate for all levels. Vinyasa is a dynamic style of yoga in which we will practice syncing one breath to one movement. In these 60 minutes we will build strength and flexibility while calming and cleansing the mind. We’ll explore getting upside down and playing with arm balances. The music will have you dancing to the rhythm of your breath. This practice will build strength, balance and weight loss, while reducing stress and increasing vitality. Hatha Flow - Hatha Flow is a gentle yoga class which concentrates on physical health and mental well-being. Traditional postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama) and meditation techniques (dyana) are incorporated with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and clear, peaceful mind. Postures are held in accurate alignment and emphasis is placed on core strength, flexibility and balance as well as concentration and breath control. Ball yoga blends the ancient science of yoga with the unique training possibilities of the exercise ball to create an innovative and effective workout. A unique combination of Hatha Yoga asanas and ball work that builds lean muscles while providing natural stress relief. Includes a comprehensive workout adaptable to the needs of the beginner and those with a more advanced practice. The class will always finish with 10 min pranayama/breathing and relaxation Classes slightly challenging but not overwhelming for beginners: Power - Power Yoga is a general term used in the West to describe a vigorous, fitness-based approach to vinyasa-style yoga. Power yoga is one of the best ways to develop flexibility, strength as well as create a harmony of breathing, movement and peace of mind. In this class the teacher brings few advance poses to which you will stretch and prepare to during this class .
