⭐️ DOES SOY INCREASE THE RISK OF BREAST CANCER?
⭐️ Dr Phung Ngoc Thu, Specialist Level I - Senologist at FV Hospital, who has over 20 years of experience in diagnosing and treating thousands of breast disease cases, affirms: SOY DOES NOT INCREASE THE RISK OF BREAST CANCER!
On the contrary, soy is a rich source of plant-based protein and contains many nutrients that are beneficial for overall health.
• Soy contains phytoestrogens – plant-based compounds that can bind to oestrogen receptors in the breast. However, their activity is very weak and can even block the effects of stronger oestrogens (such as endogenous oestrogen or oestrogen from medication).
• Studies have also shown that in Asian countries, where soy is consumed regularly, the incidence of breast cancer tends to be lower than in Western countries.
• To date, there is no scientific evidence proving that soy increases the risk of breast cancer.
According to Dr Phung Ngoc Thu, women can feel completely confident in including a moderate amount of soy and soy-based products (such as soy milk, tofu, etc.) in their daily diet.
⭐️ To prevent breast cancer, the most important action is to regularly examine your breasts properly in order to detect and address abnormalities early. Breast cancer can now be treated effectively and easily if diagnosed at an early stage.
