Bà Chantha, người Campuchia, trải qua 12 năm chiến đấu với u sarcom vùng má phải tái phát nhiều lần. Lần này, đi khám tại Bệnh viện Đa khoa Tâm Anh TP.HCM, khối u có kích thước 6x5 cm kèm nhiều nốt vệ tinh quanh u, xâm lấn sâu mô mềm và liên quan các nhánh mạch máu. ThS.BS.CKII Đoàn Minh Trông, khoa Ngoại Vú – Đầu Mặt Cổ, chẩn đoán bà Chantha mắc sarcom sợi bì lồi vùng má phải tái phát - một dạng ung thư mô mềm, chỉ định phẫu thuật cắt rộng toàn bộ tổn thương đồng thời kiểm soát rìa diện cắt bằng sinh thiết tức thì và tái tạo khuyết hổng bằng vạt tự do từ vùng đùi trước. Êkíp phẫu thuật thực hiện đồng thời hai kíp mổ để rút ngắn thời gian và giảm biến chứng.
Hậu phẫu, vạt ghép hồng hào, bà Chantha hồi phục tốt, ăn uống sớm và sẽ xạ trị bổ túc nhằm giảm nguy cơ tái phát.

Mrs. Chantha, a Cambodian national, had battled recurrent sarcoma in her right cheek for 12 years. Upon examination at Tam Anh General Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, the tumor measured 6 × 5 cm with multiple satellite nodules, deeply invading soft tissues and involving vascular branches.
Dr. Doan Minh Trong from the Department of Breast, Head and Neck Surgery diagnosed her with recurrent dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans of the right cheek, a type of soft tissue cancer. He recommended wide excision of the entire lesion with intraoperative frozen section margin control, followed by reconstruction using a free flap from the anterolateral thigh. To shorten the operation time and minimize complications, the surgical team performed simultaneous procedures.
Following surgery, the flap remained healthy, and Mrs. Chantha recovered well, resuming oral intake early. She will undergo adjuvant radiotherapy to reduce the risk of recurrence.
