💪🦶🦵💪The soleus: the forgotten shock absorber of your body!

This deep calf muscle acts as your body’s natural suspension system.
Just like in a car or motorcycle—if the shock absorbers aren’t working, the impact isn’t absorbed and all the force travels up through the body:
feet, knees, lower back…

Over time, the soleus can become stiff, tight, and painful.
The result? Less shock absorption with every step, more compensation, and often a cascade of pain.

The good news? You can fix it!
With the GMC “at-risk foot” method, we work directly on this muscle:

We release it,

We mobilize it,

And we strengthen it,
so it can go back to doing its job as your body’s active suspension system.

Want to reset your shock absorbers?

🌞 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴… 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆? 🦶

Sandals, beaches, swimming pools — but a damaged or missing nail can ruin your confidence and comfort.

👉 If you have:

A 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗹 (from injury, sports, or fungal infection)

A nail that has 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗳𝗳

A nail that is 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗹𝘆 or 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹

A 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗯𝗲𝗱 exposed to friction or air
➡️ There is a 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: a 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

✨ This isn’t just cosmetic — it serves real therapeutic purposes:
✔ 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 the fragile skin normally covered by your nail
✔ 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗹’𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵, helping 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀
✔ Lets you 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝘀, 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵, and 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻

💧 It’s 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿-𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 — you can go swimming, wear nail polish, and walk barefoot.
It may fall off if hit hard (like a real nail!), but is 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲.
We’ll also give you 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘀 to trim it safely if needed.

💡 It can also be used as part of the 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀, and helps 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.

📸 I’ll be sharing 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 & 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘀 soon.
If this sounds like your situation, 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗺𝗲 — I’ll be happy to help.

👉 𝗟𝗲𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗼.

𝗜𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀.🦶

This is one of the most common causes of heel pain.
It’s often due to 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 in the plantar fascia, a tissue that supports your foot arch.

𝐓𝐲𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞:

- Sharp heel pain in the morning or after sitting for a while

- A feeling of stepping on a nail

- Pain that eases with movement… but returns later in the day

With stretching, custom insoles, targeted exercises… and a personalized podiatric plan.

🦶𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝘁?
🦶𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗺𝗶𝘅𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗽!

Do you feel pain under your foot or on a toe? It’s not always easy to tell the difference between a corn and a plantar wart, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭!

𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐟𝐞𝐰 𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩:

𝐀 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐧 is a skin reaction to repeated pressure (tight shoes, poor posture…). It’s usually painful with direct pressure and is not contagious.

𝐀 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐭, on the other hand, is caused by a virus (HPV), often caught in humid environments like pools or showers. 𝐈𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬, 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬.

𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 : there are some exceptions.
For example, the "𝐬𝐦𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐫’𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐧", often located on the toes, can also be painful when pinched. However, the pain is different: more localized and dull, and unlike warts, it doesn’t show tiny black dots (vascular roots).

𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐲 𝐚 𝐩𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧:

- Relieve pain quickly,

- Prevent spreading (for warts),

- And reduce the number of treatment sessions.

Book your appointment as soon as symptoms appear!
And take a look at our visual guide to help you spot the difference.

🦶𝗖𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝘂 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘂𝗲𝘀 ?
🦶𝗡𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘇 𝗽𝗹𝘂𝘀 !

📢 Hallux Valgus: How to Prevent and Treat It Effectively 🦶

Hallux valgus, or "bunion," is a common issue that can cause pain and deformity in the big toe. The good news? Conservative treatment can be highly effective, especially if you act early! 💪

🔍 Why Should You Pay Attention? If you've seen this problem in your family, it could motivate you to take action now. But even if that’s not the case, 80% of people affected by a bunion didn’t inherit it! The main cause? Tight shoes, high heels, poor ankle mobility that puts extra stress on the forefoot, or even poor hip mobility. These factors encourage bunion development, and combining them can increase the risk and speed of progression. 👟👠

⏳ A Long-Term Vision = Fewer Constraints Choosing conservative treatment helps slow down the problem and avoids more invasive solutions, like surgery. It does require a bit of discipline and a long-term view, but it’s far less burdensome than you might think, especially with the right guidance!

👣 My Role as a Podiatrist I offer personalized care: advice on the right shoes, mobility exercises, and conservative treatments to relieve your pain and slow the progression of hallux valgus.

📞 Have Questions? Need an Assessment? Feel free to contact me for an appointment and advice on the best options for you. Prevention is the best cure, and it's often much simpler than you think! 😊

Just remember, it’s simple but does require a small daily routine to keep those feet in great shape! 🏃‍♀️

Sore corns/calluses: Free your feet from pain!

Do you have painful corns that are preventing you from fully enjoying your day or your sporting activity? 😩

🦶 We've got the solution! After excising the hyperkeratosis in the clinic, we'll help you eliminate the pain or burning sensation you feel.

🔍 Our approach:
- Identify the cause: Once the pain has been eliminated, together we look for the cause of the corns.
- Suggest appropriate solutions: Specific creams, orthopaedic insoles or advice on footwear to prevent the corns reappearing.
- Preventing unsuitable practices: when you scratch the horn, it stimulates the cells to multiply, which means that the horn comes back more quickly. This can also make it easier for cracks to appear.

Make an appointment with our podiatrist to relieve your feet and regain your comfort. 📅

Is your ingrown toenail painful and bothersome in daily life? Here's how we can help! 👣

Our Complete 5-Step Treatment:

a) Relieve the Pain: In-office treatment for quick relief.
b) Efficient Healing: Care and advice for fast recovery.
c) Ensure Proper Nail Growth: Follow-up and tips to prevent recurrence.
d) Footwear Advice: Choosing the right shoes to avoid pressure.
e) Nail Cutting Tips: Techniques to prevent the nail from digging into the skin.

Don’t let the pain of an ingrown toenail disrupt your daily life. Book your appointment today!

Doctors distinguish between three stages of severity:

Stage 1: The nail has grown into the skin on the side. The skin hurts and has become inflamed.
Stage 2: New, inflamed tissue (granuloma) has grown at the edges of the ingrown toenail. The tissue is weeping and producing pus.
Stage 3: The skin around the toenail is chronically inflamed and keeps oozing pus. The granuloma has already started growing over the nail.

The sooner I see them, the less painful and lengthy the treatment will be.
