Viện Tế bào gốc khởi động xây dựng Chương trình Ươm tạo Doanh nghiệp Spin-off Công nghệ ATMP “Start-up With Us 2026”

Hướng tới mục tiêu thương mại hóa công nghệ và hình thành các doanh nghiệp spin-off trong lĩnh vực công nghệ y sinh tiên tiến, Viện Tế bào gốc (VNUHCM-US Stem Cell Institute) thuộc Trường Đại học Khoa học tự nhiên, Đại học Quốc gia TP.HCM chính thức khởi động xây dựng Đề án tổ chức Chương trình “Start-up With Us 2026”. Đây là sáng kiến có tính đột phá, tạo ra một cơ chế bài bản nhằm kết nối trực tiếp công nghệ từ trung tâm đổi mới sáng tạo và sản xuất thực nghiệm của Viện (Center for Innovation and Pilot Production) với các nhóm khởi nghiệp tiềm năng.
Chương trình được triển khai với tầm nhìn trở thành cầu nối quan trọng, khắc phục những hạn chế trong chuyển giao công nghệ tại các đơn vị nghiên cứu công lập. “Start-up With Us” không chỉ là một cuộc thi thông thường mà là một hành trình ươm tạo toàn diện, từ ý tưởng đến thành lập doanh nghiệp spin-off thực thụ, đặc biệt trong lĩnh vực Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMP) – các liệu pháp điều trị tiên tiến dựa trên tế bào, gen và mô.
👥Đối tượng tham gia và Yêu cầu cốt lõi
Chương trình hướng đến các công dân Việt Nam dưới 40 tuổi, bao gồm sinh viên năm cuối, học viên cao học, nghiên cứu sinh và các cá nhân đang làm việc trong lĩnh vực nghiên cứu, y tế hoặc kinh doanh. Người tham gia sẽ lập thành các đội từ 02 đến 05 thành viên, được khuyến khích có cơ cấu đa ngành (sinh học, y dược, kinh doanh, luật…).
Điểm đặc biệt của chương trình nằm ở yêu cầu cốt lõi: các dự án phải được xây dựng dựa trên nền tảng công nghệ do Viện Tế bào gốc sở hữu hoặc có quyền khai thác. Điều này đảm bảo các startup có thể tiếp cận ngay những công nghệ đã được nghiên cứu và phát triển bài bản, thay vì phải tự tìm kiếm hoặc xây dựng từ đầu. Thử thách dành cho các đội là phát triển mô hình kinh doanh khả thi và lộ trình thương mại hóa cho những công nghệ này.
📈Lộ trình 5 giai đoạn và Cơ cấu giải thưởng gắn với ươm tạo thực tế
Chương trình được triển khai theo lộ trình 5 giai đoạn xuyên suốt từ tháng 5/2026 đến tháng 4/2027, bao gồm: Tiếp nhận hồ sơ, Đánh giá sàng lọc, Đào tạo huấn luyện chuyên sâu, Trình diễn dự án (Demo Day) và cuối cùng là Ươm tạo, hỗ trợ thành lập doanh nghiệp.
Cơ cấu giải thưởng được thiết kế không chỉ mang tính khen thưởng mà chính là “công cụ lựa chọn và ươm tạo”, tập trung vào hỗ trợ phát triển thực tế:
• Giải Nhất (Spin-off Track): Tổng trị giá 600 triệu VNĐ, bao gồm 100 triệu tiền mặt và gói ươm tạo 12 tháng trị giá 500 triệu tại Viện với quyền tiếp cận phòng lab, cố vấn chuyên môn, hỗ trợ pháp lý, sở hữu trí tuệ. Đội chiến thắng cam kết tham gia ươm tạo và tiến tới thành lập doanh nghiệp.
• Giải Nhì (Pre-Spin-off Track): Trị giá 200-300 triệu VNĐ, gồm hỗ trợ tiền mặt và gói tiền ươm tạo 6-9 tháng để hoàn thiện kế hoạch R&D và thương mại hóa.
• Giải Ba (Venture Ready Track): Trị giá 100-150 triệu VNĐ, tập trung vào đào tạo, kết nối và hoàn thiện hồ sơ dự án.
🔑Cơ chế rõ ràng về Tài sản trí tuệ và Ràng buộc thực thi
Chương trình áp dụng mô hình cấp phép (License) công nghệ một cách minh bạch. Các startup sẽ được cấp phép sử dụng bí quyết công nghệ, quy trình chuẩn của Viện thay vì chuyển nhượng quyền sở hữu. Viện giữ vai trò kiểm soát công nghệ lõi và tạo nguồn thu bền vững từ phí license, trong khi startup được khai thác công nghệ để phát triển sản phẩm. Phí royalty dự kiến từ 3-5% doanh thu.
Đi kèm với những hỗ trợ giá trị là các ràng buộc chặt chẽ về việc tham gia ươm tạo, tiến độ thực hiện dự án, tuân thủ pháp lý và đạo đức trong nghiên cứu y sinh. Các đội đạt giải cao phải ký kết thỏa thuận ươm tạo và có thể bị chấm dứt hỗ trợ nếu không đạt các mốc cam kết.

“Start-up With Us 2026” thể hiện nỗ lực chủ động của Viện Tế bào gốc trong việc hiện thực hóa sứ mệnh đưa kết quả nghiên cứu, công nghệ ra thị trường, đóng góp thiết thực vào hệ sinh thái khởi nghiệp đổi mới sáng tạo trong lĩnh vực công nghệ cao của Việt Nam. Stem Cell Institute Launches the Development of the ATMP Technology Spin-off Incubation Program
“Start-up With Us 2026”

With the objective of accelerating technology commercialization and fostering the formation of spin-off enterprises in the field of advanced biomedical technologies, the Stem Cell Institute (VNUHCM–US Stem Cell Institute), University of Science, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, officially initiates the development of the “Start-up With Us 2026” incubation program proposal. This initiative represents a strategic and structured mechanism designed to directly connect technologies originating from the Institute’s Center for Innovation and Pilot Production with high-potential entrepreneurial teams.
The program is envisioned as a critical bridge to address existing gaps in technology transfer within public research institutions. Rather than functioning as a conventional start-up competition, “Start-up With Us” is designed as a comprehensive incubation journey, guiding projects from early-stage ideas through to the establishment of genuine spin-off companies—particularly in the field of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMP), including cell-, gene-, and tissue-based therapies.
👥Target Participants and Core Requirements
The program is open to Vietnamese citizens under the age of 40, including final-year undergraduate students, graduate students, doctoral candidates, and professionals currently working in research, healthcare, or business-related fields. Participants are required to form teams of two to five members and are strongly encouraged to adopt a multidisciplinary structure (e.g., biology, medicine, business, law).
A defining feature of the program lies in its core requirement: all proposed projects must be developed based on technologies that are owned by, or legally accessible through, the Stem Cell Institute. This ensures that participating start-ups can immediately leverage well-established and systematically developed technologies, rather than initiating technology development from scratch. Teams are challenged to design viable business models and commercialization roadmaps for these technologies.
📈Five-Phase Implementation Roadmap and Incubation-Oriented Award Structure
The program is implemented through a five-phase roadmap spanning from May 2026 to April 2027, including: Application Submission, Screening and Evaluation, Intensive Training and Mentorship, Project Demonstration (Demo Day), and Incubation with support for company establishment.
The award structure is designed not merely as recognition, but as a practical selection and incubation mechanism, with a strong emphasis on real-world development support:
1- First Prize (Spin-off Track): Total value of VND 600 million, including VND 100 million in cash and a 12-month incubation package valued at VND 500 million at the Institute. This package provides access to laboratory facilities, technical and business mentorship, legal and intellectual property support. The winning team commits to participating in the incubation program and progressing toward formal spin-off company establishment.
2- Second Prize (Pre-Spin-off Track): Valued at VND 200–300 million, comprising cash support and a 6–9 month incubation package to further develop R&D plans and commercialization strategies.
3- Third Prize (Venture Ready Track): Valued at VND 100–150 million, focusing on training, networking, and refinement of project documentation.
🔑Clear Intellectual Property Framework and Implementation Commitments
The program adopts a transparent technology licensing model. Start-ups will be granted licenses to use the Institute’s proprietary know-how and standardized processes, rather than acquiring full ownership of the core technologies. The Institute retains control over the core intellectual assets and establishes a sustainable revenue stream through licensing fees, while start-ups are enabled to commercialize products and services based on the licensed technologies. The expected royalty rate is projected at 3–5% of revenue.
In parallel with the extensive support provided, the program enforces clear commitments regarding incubation participation, project milestones, regulatory compliance, and ethical standards in biomedical research. Award-winning teams are required to sign incubation agreements, and support may be terminated if committed milestones are not achieved.
