Vietnamese crop production is becoming more capable every year, but it is also becoming more exposed to risk.
Climate volatility, water stress, and declining soil function are no longer secondary concerns. They are now direct operational constraints. In our view, the farms and supply chains that will perform best are those that combine strong agronomy with disciplined ex*****on: better irrigation control, smarter input use, structured field monitoring, practical traceability, and clearer communication.
At the same time, one of the biggest challenges in Vietnamese agriculture is not only technical but also It is also cultural and commercial. Many producers are highly capable in the field, but there is still often a gap in understanding how international customers, particularly in Europe, assess risk, consistency, compliance, and trust.
That is precisely why JCDVN is based here in Vietnam: to help bridge the gap between local production capability and the technical, commercial, and compliance expectations of overseas markets.
Good production alone is no longer enough. Real advantage comes when technical capability is matched by commercial understanding.
What do you see as the single biggest improvement for growers in Vietnam today: irrigation discipline, soil management, IPM, traceability, or customer alignment?
