"How many appointments do I need to resolve my problems?"
This is a very common question for us here at ICCD. The truth is, the number of counselling sessions each person needs can vary widely. Here’s why it’s tough to give a one-size-fits-all answer:
Severity & Complexity: Some issues are more deeply rooted or complex than others, which can mean a longer process.
Support Systems: Having strong support from friends, family, or community can make a big difference in how quickly someone progresses.
Integrating Insights: Change doesn’t just happen in the counselling room. How much you’re able to reflect, practice, and integrate new insight gained during the sessions in daily life matters a lot.
Therapist Fit: The type of therapy and the connection you feel with your counsellor can impact how quickly you see progress.
Every journey is unique, so the number of appointments needed is different for everyone. Progress might be quick, or take a little more time—both are completely normal. If you have questions about your own process, don’t hesitate to discuss them with your therapist!
