This is what a history book looks like when it tells the truth.

The man holding this map represents millions of voices that were erased. For generations, his ancestors lived on this land. They had nations, languages, governments, and borders long before America had a name.

Then history class started at chapter 2.

They taught us about 1776. But they skipped the thousands of years before it.

Why?

Because this map makes people uncomfortable. It forces a question most schools won't answer: If someone was already home... who were the real "first Americans"?

Authentic Native artwork is an important part of culture and identity.
Community leaders say protecting traditional art helps:

• Preserve traditional designs and techniques
• Respect Indigenous cultural heritage
