Hello friends, it’s been a while, but we’re still here!!

2020, a year like no other. It has taken many of us in different directions than planned, but today we are writing you filled with hope. That’s because we’ve seen two of our dream clients rise to the occasion this year and

We were incredibly fortunate at Sprout Projects to get to continue our work with these world changers and innovative not-for-profits this year. We are so proud of everything that they accomplished in a very challenging and heartbreaking time. As for us, well we’ve been busy on their strategic communications and fundraising projects! We are going into our second year of operations and hope to have time to take on new clients in March 2021. Until then, we are open for inquiries about our services just feel free to DM us here!

We have been cheering from the sidelines for our client as they paddled through the windy waters last weekend to raise money for their not-for-profit by participating in the virtual race. Andy and his squad survived the 'big swells' (as they say in Hawaii) and were able to raise nearly $5K for their work with veterans, first responders and families struggling with PTSD. Do you want to help us get them to their goal?! We are SO close!!! You can donate by copying and pasting this link:

Care workers are front line workers who do incredible work in our communities to help the elderly and people who are unable to take care of themselves. It is hopeful to see a grant to support them.

This grant will provide eligible aged care providers and agencies with funding to make retention bonus payments to Eligible Aged Care Workers in the residential aged care and Home Care Packages Program. For residential aged care workers, this includes registered nurses, enrolled nurses and personal care workers who are directly in contact with the resident to assist with dressing, showering, wound management, medication, movement, feeding, hygiene and grooming or similar direct care activities. This opportunity closes soon 20 July so check it out or spread the word today!

National PTSD Awareness Day was honored this weekend and we want to give a huge shoutout to our clients who work towards improving the wellbeing and mental health of veterans, first responders and their immediate support suffering with Post Traumatic Stress. Their not-for-profit has a family-first approach in their work and have accomplished a ton in their first year of operations!! It has been a dream to work with them.

From 24-26 July they are participating in paddle board race virtually to raise funds and awareness for their cause. We can’t wait to see them change the world!

This is our Founder casually riding a horse with some zebras in the background. If you know her you love her. The last time I saw her .spotted (that’s me her comms guru here) I was holding her 3 month old baby in NYC after working together in Juba for years. He is 5 today, Happy Birthday baby!! Time goes by so fast! But friendship and good work partnerships span years, continents and time zones.

Incase you missed the news, our Founder Ariane has been on a tour of duty working in Zimbabwe for the past few months. She is working on a new project that will distribute cash to the most vulnerable households through Action Against Hunger. Did anyone else start a new job right before the pandemic hit? In addition to getting her footing in Harare, she recently toured the country to places like Chiredzi where she and her team did WASH rehab on health facilities that are being prepped as isolation centres for COVID-19. 🇿🇼

Today we commemorate and pay tribute to the Australian people who served and died in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. In normal times, Anzac Day has events and services in every community. This morning was a little different, but just as beautiful in meaning, as thousands of people in our nation lit up the dawn with candles in their driveways. 🌹 day2020

We stand in solidarity with over 70 million people worldwide who are displaced and particularly vulnerable during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many refugee and IDP camps are overcrowded and poorly resourced, increasing the spread of the disease. This makes already vulnerable families more at risk and their chances of relief, or seeking asylum to a safer country, are most likely limited amid this crisis. Not only do we hope these millions of people suffering can survive this crisis, we hope they will find a safe place to call home in their futures.

Are you a community organisation that relies on volunteers? The Australian Government has a great funding program that aims to strengthen community functioning by increasing participation in volunteering. You can apply for a small grant to boost your volunteer program but first you need to contact your Local Member of Parliament and ask them to nominate you to the Department of Social Services. The department will email application forms to nominated organisations. Applications close 6 April. Visit https://buff.ly/2v66Mhq for more info.

When it comes to boosting fundraising and marketing online, developing the creative elements of your brand is becoming more important. No matter what stage your organisation may be in, building a visual identity is an important element to having a cohesive brand that is able to visually share your story and mission.

What are your color palettes? Why do these colors match your mission?
How do you “visualize” your data??

Our tip is to start by focusing on a few elements that contribute to visual identity:
Logo
Colors
Fonts
Photos (lots of photos!), Infographics and icons
Video and viral elements

About us

Who are we

Sprout Projects was created as a result of our own personal experience in international development where we witnessed first-hand the struggle of hard-working and highly effective civil society organisations who were unable to access adequate or large-scale funding due to a lack of capacity to 'speak the same language' or 'tick the boxes' of big funding organisations or donors. Sprout Projects specialises in helping micro, small and medium-sized cause-driven organisations with big dreams get the funding they need to reach their potential. We are a group of professional consultants with diverse skills sets including program design, donor relations, grant-writing, fundraising, project development, communications, finance and administration and data analysis consultants from diverse backgrounds but with a common vision.
