The price war between farmers and middlemen has been throughout history. Back in the day the number of middlemen kept the middlemen in check where price gouging was concerned. The challenges of logistics and market access made them a necessary part of the package in many cases.

Today there are not enough middlemen. The market is controlled by powerful monopolies that see farmers still being paid prices they were getting 30 years or more ago.

Logistics and market access have changed now. Some farmers are using the efficiencies of the internet to break these monopolies that have evolved. It will come back into balance. It will just take a bit of time and effort

Not a big fan of bottled water but when I do buy it I always look for this brand in Samoa. Why? It has an outstanding 65mgs/litre of dissolved silica in it. Why is this important? This form of Silica according to professor Chris Exley at Keel University will remove aluminum from the brain, a major contributor to dementia and cognitive decline in his view.

It's been a hectic couple of weeks and still a lot of work to go, but it is a great feeling knowing that you are introducing technology that will make a real difference to vulnerable families in Samoa.

We are proud to partner with Pacific Grow to bring cutting edge Israeli agricultural technologies into Samoa. Special thanks to GEF small grants program for their assistance in rolling out a pilot of 40 home biogas units to 8 villages.

The ability of households to create their own gas for cooking and organic fertilizer for the garden is a game changer.

The only actions that shall occur on your farm or business are based on your /our own decisions….. and no one else at the end of the day is responsible for that.

You may receive lots of information from multiple locations and that has value and that value is real according to where your at in journey at time of receiving it. Interpretation is also your responsibility, and questions always lead to greater clarity. Questions and communication are priceless.

However, the value of that in reality comes down to actions taken, not things pondered. Thinking without action shall not lead to change …. Not for any of us.
