Happy Valentine’s Day from the crew at Twinflower ❤️ 💕☺️

What a fun week of workshops it has been !! The herbal star this week was definitely … rose ! 🌹 🌹🌹 With the full moon in Leo this week at our yoga series we sipped rose hip and rose petal tea to nourish the heart and reduce excess heat in the heart. Then, at BGC we made delicious organic rose petal and hibiscus 🌺 truffles, and of course some cute little herbal heart chocolates too.

Thank you to all the great groups we had for workshops this week and thank you to the rose for your medicine ☺️🌹

In addition to acupuncture, Jenica offers Somatic Therapy, a body-oriented approach to healing trauma + nervous system dysregulation.

✨Twinflower Therapeutics is seeking allied health practitioners across differing modalities who are looking for office/treatment room rental opportunities in downtown Whitehorse.
✨
We currently have three rooms available for part-time rental (2-4 days a week, per room). Starting March 2025, rental options will expand to cover a one-year maternity leave.
✨
Our collective is currently made up of three massage therapists, an acupuncturist, a health coach, a counsellor and a naturopathic doctor. We share a waiting area, staff kitchen, office amenities and laundry.
✨
Our rooms are furnished with heated massage tables, desks, ergonomic stools, big windows, organic cotton linens and blankets, and any additional furnishings you require (upon discussion).
✨
Common amenities include an accessibility ramp, furnished waiting room, water filtration system, retail area, full kitchen, bathroom, laundry room and two storage rooms.
✨
Room rental is a flat rate per day (billed monthly) and can include access to online booking/scheduling software (JaneApp), direct billing, and the option to be a Twinflower practitioner featured on our site and marketing platforms.

Warning: we are about to get political !

Currently Health Canada is implementing a new framework ( the Self Care Framework) which may sound great, but unfortunately this new framework will replace the current natural health product regulation.

On June 22, 2024 Bill c-47 section 500-504 was passed redefining a ‘therapeutic product’.

Why does this matter ?

This new framework will impose pharmaceutical regulation onto the natural healthcare industry resulting in increased costs for natural products, loss of small to medium sized natural health care products producers, large fines for producers who do not comply and loss of natural health care practitioners.

We think: a ginger tea should not have to undergo the same regulatory process as a Benadryl….

BUT ! ✨ We can make a difference

The Natural Health Product Protection Association has been working on these types of issues since 2008 and together with the Save our Supplements Campaign change is being made and brought to parliament.
