Long post so bare with me ✨
Firstly I’d like to thank everyone who continuously stuck by me, I apologise for all the messages sat in my inbox I know I probably look rude. Truth is, I just haven’t been able to face it.
For those of you who know me, know that each time I give this a go again I become extremely overwhelmed. I am a people pleaser and I am poor with boundaries and so I constantly find myself accommodating everyone to keep everyone happy, with in that my own mental health becomes compromised- I have decided that enough is enough and from now on I will concentrate on my studies/work. There will be no coming back from this not soon or in the future.
Speaking of the future for aesthetics, aesthetics has been unregulated since forever in the UK, that means, anyone can take a course in aesthetics, some 1 day some 3 days and then your qualified. It is then upto the practitioner to gain more training, etc. The government are now making suggestions that aesthetics treatments should fall in to categories and many of the treatments will have to be overseen by a healthcare professional (nurses but who have specific qualifications such as aesthetics, prescribing and teaching)
For those who aren’t healthcare professionals this will be costly and extremely difficult. For me, this is not an option as this was not my full time job. But what it means for you as a client is safety and better practice. I, as a non medic/healthcare professional am in favour of this and I welcome it.
I welcome this because the industry is saturated and people are having to compete with ridiculous pricing and unsafe practice. You wouldn’t believe what you can buy and how easily accessible products are (illegally)
Please remember to choose wisely and do your research.
