John's InBetweens·Monday, 5 November 2018·
Who is the best person to look after you? John has been in financial services for thirty four years & you & I know what bad health can do for you financially , emotionally & physically. On the health side when I yesterday heard yesterday that a hip replacement was first quoted at 30,000. Today George* told me that he wouldn't use the health system for his Very Bad back as they said to him ‘we will find a surgeon as he is in the public system’ but showed a lack of care & attitude. He will wait in spite of the pain & the side effects of the very strong pain killers until he finds the 55,000 he needs for his preferred surgeon. It was on Friday when I had appointment with clients that they told us that they had spent more than 5,000 on medical expenses even though they had full medical insurance. They also had exceeded the government medical expenses threshold by June & still had 1,200 to spend on glasses. These expenses were only for the ‘minor’ challenges of skin cancers & cataracts & not for the ‘major’ challenges of cancers, strokes & heart & bones fractures. I listened & heard of both my nephews each separately having to wait 5 hours at a public hospital with one of the boys with so much blood his class needed trauma counseling. How boring is a relative when all the talk about is their health issue & their opinion of their latest doctor! You and I would have multiple moments like that. In fact a radiologist client said ‘if all were on these he would be out of a job’. He isn't out of a job because as I have said & learnt ‘the big lies are told by the big guys’. Who wants to collect their insurances anyway? The self employed cant afford a day off due to illness. Insurances only increase in premiums & for the InBetweens they can’t buy some insurances. Medical insurance increase faster than an Inbetween retired income now that term deposit rates are close to zero. Hence, I have a core belief in a company & products which we have believed in due to the best science & its integrity for 20 years. Health & Income is what you need today & tomorrow. Are you interested to read our Your Health is in Danger booklet or our Fads Fables & Facts or Health & Freedom magazine each which you will find are very informative. Yes, you are the best person to look after & care for you. I’m working on something exciting. It may or may not be for you but would you be open to taking a look?”
PM us now. John is in those InBetween years & has, as has his family, been in great health for the last 20 + years thanx to #1 rated best science prevention strategy. When Dr. Joanne read our 63,000 score she told the remaining attendees waiting to be tested to not bother. When we told her what we used she replied ‘of course.’
The average class score was in the 20,000s & they were of all ages

Insurance for cancer, heart attacks and strokes hits the sick list

The rising cost of living means many people are cutting back on critical illness cover, yet it is a financial lifeline they might need.

Insomnia affects up to 22% of adults worldwide, according to BMJ Evidence-Based Medicine, and it's far more than just an inconvenience at night.

Insomnia affects about 22% of adults worldwide and raises the risk of depression,

here’s a daily practical routine you can follow to help reduce or even eliminate mild tinnitus in one ear, without surgery or hearing aids.

🌅 Morning

Hydration: Drink a glass of water soon after waking — dehydration can make tinnitus worse.

Stretching: 5–10 mins gentle neck/shoulder stretches (relieves muscle tension that can aggravate ear nerves).

Supplements (if suitable for you):

CoQ10 – 100–200 mg (supports ear + cardiovascular health).

Magnesium – 300–400 mg (calms nerve activity).

Zinc – 25–30 mg if your diet is low in seafood/nuts.

Ginkgo biloba – 120–240 mg (improves circulation to the inner ear).
(Check with GP first, especially if on blood thinners or heart meds.

The stage is set for a paradigm shift in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.

There's still so much out there that we don't know when it comes to Alzheimer's.

But what we do know is that one lifestyle factor is a major contributing factor to it.

The Alzheimer's Society, a leading voluntary health organization focused on Alzheimer's care, says that obesity between the ages of 35 and 65 can increase dementia risk in later-life by about 30%.

This statistic comes from an analysis that combined 19 different long-term research studies.

A study using data from the U.S. Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance Survey found obesity to be the No. 1 "modifiable risk factor" to reducing the risk of developing dementia.

Alzheimers is diabetes of the brain & hence maybe called Type 3 diabetes is a term some researchers use to describe the link between insulin resistance in the brain and Alzheimer's disease

Before you forget then suggest as a simple parameter measure your weight vs height ratio.

if >0.5 then today PM for a simple , 5 day doable reset program.

Some Facts & Figures

Prevalence of heart disease among older Australian men

In 2022, about 19% of Australian men aged 75 or more reported having coronary heart disease. (AIHW)

Overall, around 6.7% of Australian adults aged 18+ live with one or more heart, stroke or vascular diseases. (AIHW)

Age‐related risk rise

In Australia, the prevalence of heart, stroke and vascular disease for people aged 65-74 is about 14.3%, rising to ~27.7% in those aged 75+. (Australian Bureau of Statistics)

Statins and CoQ10

A study in JAMA Neurology showed that high-dose atorvastatin (80 mg/day) over 14 to 30 days causes measurable drops in CoQ10 levels in the blood of patients with high cholesterol. (JAMA Network)

Several sources (Healthline, MedicalNewsToday, etc.) report that statins can reduce CoQ10 levels in the body and that supplementation is considered by many to potentially mitigate side effects like muscle aches. (Medical News Today)

Benefit vs evidence

The Mayo Clinic notes CoQ10 may help in certain conditions like congestive heart failure, although more studies are needed. (Mayo Clinic)

However, some studies are mixed, especially regarding whether CoQ10 helps significantly with statin-induced muscle symptoms or reduces risk of needing devices like pacemakers. The evidence is not conclusive. (Cleveland Clinic)

What This Means for a Male Boomer

If you’re a male boomer (say 65-80) living in Brisbane (or anywhere in Australia/NZ), statistically your risk of having or developing coronary heart disease is significant—on the order of ~15-30% if aged 65+, going up with age.

If you are taking statins (common for those with high cholesterol or cardiovascular risk), there is a solid chance your natural CoQ10 levels are lower than optimal.

Though CoQ10 is not proven to prevent a heart attack or pacemaker requirement on its own, it could be supportive to the heart’s energy machinery, possibly reducing symptoms (like statin muscle side‐effects) and helping your overall cardiovascular resilience.

Yesterday, we sat next to a young fellow, maybe in his early 30s.
At first glance, we thought he’d been in a motorbike accident — one leg in a moon boot, visible head scars, and struggling to speak.

He had a full-time carer, provided through the NDIS.
Then he quietly told us he’d had a stroke.
A stroke, in his 30s!

WOW! How life changes in a blink.

We chatted and we shared that our metabolic age is 15 years younger than our actual age — something we’ve worked hard to achieve.

If we were in our 30s again, knowing what we know now, as we have, disciplined on regular exercise, reducing sugar and processed foods, managing stress, and keeping blood pressure and cholesterol in check.
Stroke’s not just an older person’s issue — young people aren’t immune.
It happens
Prevention is optimal & its proactive & Not reactive

So we researched & asked 'what supplements do we suggest?'
and
Good question, John — and it’s one many people overlook until it’s too late.
When it comes to supporting brain and heart health to reduce stroke risk, a few well-considered supplements can make a real difference, alongside a good diet and lifestyle.
If we were back in our 30s, here’s what we’d seriously consider taking: and yes we are doing so.
PM for the suggestions as it hashtag

As its Friday then yes fish tonite.
