💡We perceive the world through the organs of sense and organs of action. Every experience of the 5 organs of sense and the 5 organs of action is stored in the subconscious (swapna) and unconscious (sushupti) mind in a particular geometrical form knows as a yantra or archetype. When you see an object or smell an odour, when something makes you happy or sad, the memory of that experience is stored in symbolic form, which represents the whole experience. It is similar to the DNA molecule, which is a complete representation of the entire genetic makeup. In the same way, every experience in your life is recorded in a specific symbolic form called a yantra. Thus the mantra of the breath is the sound vibration and the yantra is the form.
💭Have you ever wondered why in Yoga we chant mantras? Because the repetition of the mantra with the breath brings the mind into the subconscious level and then it goes deeper into the unconscious. When the consciousness is absorbed in the deeper realms of the mind and there are no external distractions, then the yantra of the breath manifests and becomes a living experience. Reflection of the yantra is therefore the process of concentrating the mind until it arrives at the final point of dissolution.
On reaching that point of concentration where the yantra becomes manifest, an explosion of energy occurs. The equivalent in the tantras is that the 2 poles of energy: Shiva and Shakti, Time and Space, come together and meet in the nucleus. Hence, you could even say that concentration on the breath’s yantra subsequently leads to what people call a 💥“mind blowing experience”.
