From Medical Lab Scientist to Chronic Illness Patient Welcome! Please make comments, share your stories as a chronic illness patient, and message me if you have a personal question. Let me give you some background.

This is a discussion/support page for those that suffer from chronic illnesses. I hope that this is helpful to all involved. As the title of the blog states, I used to be a Medical Lab Scientist, working at a small hospital analyzing lab tests, setting up crossmatches for blood transfusions, working on Microbiology samples, which was my absolute favorite, drawing blood, answering phones, multitask

ing like crazy as we all have done in our jobs. I quit my job 11 1/2 years in. I could no longer work, but didn't know quite why. In April 2016, I finally got some answers. This is almost 3 years after I quit my job. In time I was diagnosed with CIRS (chronic inflammatory response syndrome) from 4 species of mold in my body, Lyme Disease, Bartonella, and multiple genetic mutations that make all of these things more difficult to treat. I try to stay positive, but some days are better than others. I just try to keep fighting. Anne S. 💚
