Mark Chapman in the Pilbara last week - doing what he does best: sharing knowledge, passing on skills, and helping artists bring their stories to life on canvas in ways that will last for generations.

These moments capture the workshops and materials demos from the last few weeks where Mark spent time learning & teaching with artists and art centres across the north West Australia including Juluwarlu Culture & Arts Martumili Artists , Yinjaa-Barni Art .barni.art and new art centre Buwarri Arts.

Across the workshops, artists were hands-on with Belle Arti Fabriano watercolour canvases, Stonehenge Aqua aluminium-laminated panels, Lascaux clear and white primers, Matisse Artist Colours, natural ochre binders, and Da Vinci brushes - exploring how each material can support their practice.

A huge thank you to the artists and communities for the generosity, warmth, and welcome. Always an honor to support these artists living and working on country - and do check out all the art centres Mark visited and the incredible art they make.

We’ve been reviewing all the things we have made in our workshop this year and came across these glorious custom white and orange plan drawers made in Melbourne for our friends at and .

Such beautiful craftsmanship and design, these drawers are built to store and protect works on paper. Both units are finished in high-gloss colours which look even more luscious in real life.

The skill and craftsmanship that runs through this building is unreal - check the tiger grain on the orange drawers, and the elegant pairing of silver and crisp white on the other.

If you’ve ever dreamed up a piece of furniture you wish existed, come visit or give us a call - our fabrication team can actually make dreams come true.

Join Laura for a fortnightly class of CREATIVE FLOW at cbOne Gallery in Abbotsford. A moving meditation set among artworks from their latest exhibiting artists - this is an invitation to move mindfully, connect to your practice, to others and maybe your inner creative! This is a 60 minute Slow Flow Vinyasa style practice. Both beginners and seasoned yogis are welcome.
Please bring your own yoga mat!

Where: 📍 cbONE Gallery (upstairs from Chapman & Bailey) 1C Marine Parade, Abbotsford 3067.

When: 📅 Fortnightly Sundays: 9.30am - 10.30am. (Please be sure to check the event date).

Bring: 🧘🏼 Please bring your own yoga mat, some water and wear something comfortable to move in. This is a sliding scale payment class, pay what you feel! Suggested price, $15 - $18 pays for teaching and the space. Fully subsidised spots available for anyone in financial hardship, please reach out to Laura directly to organise.

Chapman & Bailey is looking for a full-time Framing Production Team Member to join our creative, hands-on workshop.

No industry experience needed, full training provided.
If you have any spray application or finishing experience (even hobby-level!), be sure to mention it in your application.

At C&B, you’ll be part of a team known for high-quality framing, fabrication, and art services, working closely with artists, galleries, and cultural organisations across Australia.

What you’ll be doing:
• Preparing materials & assisting with frame assembly
• Using hand tools & basic machinery (full training provided)
• Keeping the workshop organised and safe
• Checking materials & finished frames for quality
• Supporting the production team across packing, shipping & general tasks

We’re looking for someone who:
✔ Has good attention to detail
✔ Enjoys hands-on, physical work
✔ Is reliable, positive, and a team player
✔ Is willing to learn new skills
✔ Bonus: any spray or finishing experience
