INSULIN SENSITIVITY vs. INSULIN RESISTANCE
Your cells can either work with insulin or against it—and that difference has a major impact on your health!
Insulin Sensitivity (Good)
✅ Blood sugar rises after eating, but insulin efficiently moves glucose into cells for energy.
✅ Excess glucose is stored in the liver and muscles as glycogen for later use.
✅ Stable blood sugar, steady energy, and better metabolic health!
Insulin Resistance (Bad)
❌ Cells stop responding to insulin’s “key,” preventing glucose from entering.
❌ Blood sugar stays high, forcing the pancreas to make MORE insulin.
❌ Over time, this can lead to chronic inflammation, type 2 diabetes, weight gain, and metabolic disease.
Insulin resistance can start 10-20 years before a diabetes diagnosis—often going unnoticed because glucose is easier to measure than insulin!
The good news? Insulin resistance is REVERSIBLE!
Make small, consistent changes:
🥦 Eat whole, nutrient-dense foods.
🏋🏽♂️ Move after meals & build muscle.
😴 Prioritize sleep & manage stress.
Save this for later & share with someone who needs to see this.
