APM TERMINALS LIBERIA LTD. DONATES 10,000 NOSE MASKS, 10,000 SETS OF GLOVES AND 300 PPEs (ISOLATION GOWNS) TO THE GOVERNMENT AND PEOPLE OF LIBERIA THROUGH THE NATIONAL RESPONSE COORDINATOR ON COVID-19, AT THE NATIONAL RESPONSE CENTER.

On July 9, 2020, APM Terminals Liberia Ltd, donated 10,000 nose masks; 10,000 hand gloves, and 300 PPEs (Isolation Gowns) to the government of Liberia through the National Response Coordinator, Madam. Mary T. BROH at the National COVID-19 Response Center. During the ceremony, Mr. George ADJEI, Managing Director of APM Terminals Liberia Ltd, applauded Madam BROH, and her team for the tremendous work they are doing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Liberia. He was of the strongest conviction that this country will forever be grateful for her services to this nation. As AMPT lauded the good work of Madam BROH. He further said, they need to as well participate in this process, they can not sit back and watch the work to go on. It is a matter of must they get fully involved.
Mr. George ADJEI, Managing Director of APM Terminals Liberia Ltd, described the fight against COVID-19 as one battle everybody must join hands to fight. And with the strong leadership being provided by the Government and all its partners, and with the role being played by Madam. BROH, Liberia will overcome this troubling time.
Mr. ADJEI said the items donated by the company were aimed at preventing the spread of the virus and for protecting health workers who are considered as a front liner since there is currently no vaccine, remedy, and therapies for it. However, prevention should be our primary focus because it is the only option available to us this time. The responsibility lies on all of us to protect ourselves and render all possible assistance within available resources. The basic precautionary measures to take must at all times be adhered to. Health workers should have the right gear to protect themselves at all times because, without these health workers, we will not succeed in this fight. With the donations of these materials, he believes this will go a long way in keeping our health workers safe.
Mr. George ADJEI, Managing Director handed over the nose masks and other items to the National Response Coordinator. He said hands must be on deck to curtail the spread of the deadly virus by adhering to all the health protocols. Inclosing he said this donation will not be the last. Mr. ADJEI was accompanied by Mr. Jean THOMPSON, Human Resource Manager, Mr. Erickson BROWNE, Head of HSSE, and Madam. Brenda COOPER, Adm. Supervisor.
The National Response Coordinator who received the items on behalf of H.E. Amb. George Manneh WEAH, in the presence of her support staff, her two Deputies, and the media, expressed appreciation to APM Terminals Liberia Ltd management for the donation. She said her team is up to the task though it is challenging, we will overcome this global battle. Special recognition was given to her staff and the staff of APM Terminals as well.
However, she requested from the Managing Director to make his staff available to train her staff in Facility Management, Human Resource Management, and what it is to manage and deliver in time.
Finally, she presented a certificate of appreciation to the APMT family for their support to the government of Liberia against the fight of this pandemic. And subsequently, she was branded by the company as a member of their team and given a jacket bearing the emblem of the company by Madam. Brenda COOPER, Adm. Supervisor.
