Robyn Drummond Fitness ⚡️ It’s time to THRIVE ⚡️

I’m Robyn, your online personal trainer & nutrition coach. delightfully all before I have been 30. What truly changed everything?

I make fat loss simple, exercising achievable, and long-term results FINALLY feel possible. I’m Robyn - your online coach, creator and founder of Thrive, and someone who’s lived through the chaos of diet culture, body image struggles, burnout, and finding myself again.. I'm a qualifed Personal Trainer, Certified Nutritionist and have been in the industry for 12 years now. I have a PG Diploma in Social Sciences, my BSc In Sport, Fitness & Coaching, L3 L4 (pending) Education & Training and recently completed my Women's Health & Menopause Coaching Training. For years, I chased “perfection” having a smaller body, strict restrictive meal plans, more discipline but it only left me feeling more lost, hated myself more and more. Learning how to rebuild my health, mindset, and routine from the inside out by starting this journey here being online and starting the online community. This was the first time I began working on my self and have recovered from an ED through this work that I do to help you :)

Now, I help you do the same. Through my Thrive app, 8-week coaching blocks 3-4 x per year, workplace talks

I teach people how to unlearn toxic diet rules, exercise without punishment, and finally feel in control of their bodies, food, and routines in a way that actually lasts. So you can finally stop this horrendous cycle of on and off dieting. My work is about more than just fat loss. Whether you’re here for short, effective home workouts, support through menopause, improving your relationship with food, or weight management, welcome. You belong here & I'm ALWAYS a message away so please reach out :)

Let’s Thrive, together 💛

Yesterday I got the opportunity to go to Ministry of Sound Games in London with Rox Queens, thank you girls & Michelle ❤️🙌🏽 what a gorgeous fitness event with everyone being so friendly, kind & I met some amazing people.

Lots of burpees, lunges, and a whole lot of trying not to be sick on the shuttle runs 😆

It was also the first time meeting my partner on the day too & Rhi was just AMAZING!!

I’ve been on Sertraline now for 2 months & honestly it’s totally changed my life.

It’s weird working in fitness because I think people assume you have it altogether but going through multiple stressful things amounted up more than I probably realised.

I was delivering talks, I had everything I wanted, getting to go to TedX and I felt like a complete fraud.. I was always asking myself why I wasn’t happy, I cried more than you probably realise.

I had more down days than good. I didn’t show up for work the way I always did and it was just a horrendous spiral. Not showing up, not making money, feeling like a failure and so on and so on.

How can people say “your doing amazing” and you just felt the complete opposite and it’s kinda why social media does drive my insane sometimes because I could paint out that I’m having the ride of my life, people look up to that yet actually in the back ground, I’m legit trying to survive.

More medication freaked me out, I read so many things that put me off.

But, it was the best life changing decision ever. I don’t think I ever realised how much stress impacted me truly until you’re so deep in it it feels impossible.

I worked with an incredible service Better than well and also learned incredible CBT techniques that actually have helped me help my own clients better.

Life feels good.

I have more 1-1 clients than I’ve had in years.

I am personal training in person with clients with specialist conditions and it’s awesome.

Im filming more workouts again for the app than I have in years.

Im working on projects I always wanted but always put off.

I have great friends.

Met the love of my life.

Life’s good. ❤️

Just let this be your reminder that if you are struggling in whatever capacity, please ask for help. I was so embarrassed & let my ego get in the way, I didn’t want to & I know this route isn’t for everyone but I’m so so glad I did.

You quit when the scale doesn’t change right?

But imagine quitting on your efforts because you are a big meal the night before, or enjoyed something with sugar in it or your hormones were all over the place & it just so happened to affect the scales that day..

So because you’ve now thrown the towel in, the over eating has happened, you’ve just went fk it and “had whatever you wanted”

And actually by THIS response you’ve now eaten OVER your daily calories when you didn’t actually need too.

All because you let the scale affect how you were feeling .. when actually there’s around 100 reasons that’s affects this every single day.

The worst bit being is, you might have actually reduced your body f@t that week but with the scale inaccuracies it’s just now shown it that week…

You might need a 💩
You might be stressed
You might have had a glass of wine the night before

Which all affects WEIGHTS.

Not body f@t..

So the sooner you detach from these numbers the better.

STOP & read 😭❤️

I recently have been out visiting a few schools with many more to come & one of the teachers had asked the children to make posters after the talk to reaffirm their learning… take a moment to read these & to see the importance of brining these topics to light.

If you have young people, have these conversations please, there is so much misinformation out there and tackling it young can also prevent a life long struggle.

“You have helped me a lot, I never skip a meal anymore & I now see how important it is”

“She taught me to LOVE myself”

This right here is literally my life purpose right now.

So let’s talk about scales & w e i g h t 🙌🏽😀Who here has either done the follow…- you weigh yourself daily- you give up ...

So let’s talk about scales & w e i g h t 🙌🏽😀

Who here has either done the follow…

- you weigh yourself daily
- you give up and think nothing is working because it’s not changed
- if it’s not above 1 lbs in a week, you think “it’s not working”
- you’ve been congratulated and celebrated for big weight changes but then it’s led to disappointment because you’ve never lost the same again week on week?
- your success is determined by that number

Sound familiar..

I worked and help so many women who have spent YEARS being attached to scale.

Not changing.. they quit and give up.

Even taking that measurement at night vs the morning is going to have a HUGE jump.

& to make matters worse, I’ve worked with women who have literally starved themselves before getting that reading, who have drank so much black coffee to try and make them go to the toilet JUST to show it’s gone down.

It’s wild 🤯

It measures weight, NOT F A T.
So using them over a long period of time yes can be helpful and it’s something I do us BUT weekly, it’s so inaccurate.

If you are menopausal, this can affect it.

Had a big dinner the night before, this can affect it.

If you have had a glass of wine, this can affect it.

If you are stress, tired, constipated.. guess what, this can affect it.

Do NOT let your hard work be blind sighted by a number… ❤️

If you are losing more than 2 lbs per week, it is not F A T..

If you’re struggling to see changes of 1 lbs on average, this is NORMAL.

Remember, being more active helps your health & mental wellbeing.

Eating better and more, will reduce your snacking.

Drinking more water will give you more energy.

Sleeping more will help your over all wellbeing.

These are FAR more important markers than a number that FLUCTUATEs all the time

Sometimes progress comes in all shapes and forms..

An area of my work that I’ve been thoroughly loving is working alongside a physio of maintaining people’s exercises programmes to help increase the frequency of the exercises.

My client here has MS & I’ve been helping 3 clients who have had a stroke.

It’s been a truly rewarding element of my work that often I don’t talk enough about. ❤️

TWO Hyrox’s in 3 days 🙈😆.. it’s funny because I genuinely would wind my friends up for doing this for two years in a row & now I get it.

I know it might not be “that deep” but honestly, it really is. I’ve not set myself a personal goal for years, the last time I did.. I was standing on stage trying to be the tiniest version of myself.

That was the last time I was at competition with myself, this time was different.

It was about being strong, fitter, healthier, it wasn’t about how I looked… but how my body performed, using my knowledge on nutrition to fuel my body the right way, doing more cardio than I’ve ever done .. if you know me, you know cardio is not my strength hahaah 😅

& for years, my fitness was about filming 10+ home workouts a week and by the end of it, I never had the energy to do anything for me.. or to push myself.

It’s almost somewhat embarrassing being a “fit pro” with the next statement but I walked into Carin’s gym last year and couldn’t do 10 burpees without dying.

I couldn’t run more than half a mile without dying.

6-9 months later, I did this, twice.

So when I booked Hyrox I never told anyone more because I was worried I wouldn’t actually do it.

On Wednesday, I panicked on my first run because I instantly said I couldn’t do it.. quit mentally straight away but pulled it back.

Yesterday, I was so better prepared mentally, had more of a plan, didn’t panic, ran great.

Getting a stitch twice was devastating because running through pain was impossible BUT nonetheless, there I was crying at wall balls again.

What a feeling this has been to have something to work towards & actually COMPLETE 🙌🏽

…. Time to book the next one 😍

About Me

Hello, I’m Robyn! Nice to meet you and WELCOME to my fitness page. I am 25 and I live in Kelty, Fife. I am originally from Glasgow but I have lived here in Fife for 8 years now.

I have worked in the Health and Fitness industry for over 5 years now. I previously worked in your local Fife Leisure Centre’s from working in the Gym as a Gym/Fitness Instructor to now working with the NHS Physiotherapy Assistant but continuing to teach Fitness Classes (RPM/Lift & Shape & TRX) & now newly available, online Personal Training. I hold various qualifications including my Bsc in Sport, Fitness & Health Coaching, level 3 Personal Trainer & Exercise Referral and recently qualified in, L1 Precision Nutrition Coaching too.

I started my journey probably for one of the same reasons as you did. I actually really lacked confidence and from bad experiences when I was younger, it really caused me to struggle in many aspects of my life and I had really little self-esteem and bad anxiety. Through discovering exercise it has practically saved my life. I have grown so much, I have developed as a person and gained more confidence in myself. This is where my passion for teaching and instructing others came from.

Through my career so far I have created two Female orientated programme. Lifting for Ladies and Lift & Shape. These programmes were solely created to help improve the confidence in women through exercise and lifting weights. A lot of females through my discovery working in Leisure, are terrified to use the free weight area. I now have a permanent class Lift and Shape that allows me to teach weight training in a closed studio to help improve that that I hope you can come and attend one day.
