Hi beautiful souls 🌸

Happy New Year! May this year be filled with growth, love, and deep connection. I hope you’ve all had a restful, nourishing, and joyful festive season.

I’m back after a much-needed break and feeling ready to welcome all that 2026 has in store ✨

To those who are new here—welcome. I’d love to take a moment to introduce myself.
I’m Jess, I live in Hout Bay, a stunning little corner just outside Cape Town, and I am endlessly inspired by its natural beauty.

This space is for you.
A place where you are safe to explore, to be curious, and to meet yourself exactly where you are. A space to soften, to grow, and to reconnect with your most authentic and joyful self.

My intention is to guide and support you—through movement, meditation, reflection, and shared moments of presence—as we learn and grow together.

As a teacher and eternal student, I am always evolving. For me, the journey is about embodying knowledge and allowing it to become lived wisdom. I can’t wait to share what I’m learning with you as we walk this path side by side.

If you ever have questions, need support, or simply want to connect, my door is always open. You are welcome here, exactly as you are.

Stay curious and see the magic 💫

I’ll be stepping away for a little while over the festive season — a much-needed pause to exhale, soften, and reconnect.
I’ll be away from 20 December 2025 until 8 January 2026.

This time of year often arrives wrapped in celebration, colour, and movement — yet beneath the sparkle is a quieter invitation:
an invitation to rest, to slow down, to remember the rhythm of your own breath.

As the year folds itself closed, may you find moments of stillness tucked between the celebrations…
sunlit pauses, warm mornings, gentle evenings, and the kind of spaciousness that lets your shoulders drop and your heart settle.

Let this season be a reminder that rest is not a luxury — it’s a way of tending to your body, your joy, your soul.
May you nourish yourself in small, honest ways: with softness, with presence, with ease.

Thank you for moving, breathing, and growing with me this year.
I look forward to stepping back onto the mat with you in the new year — refreshed, renewed, and ready to create more magic together.

Wishing you a peaceful, restorative, joy-filled festive season. 🤍✨

A big, heartfelt thank you to my aerial community and Lighthouse for all the support this year.

A new space to teach from, steady roots beneath us, and a beautiful weaving together of familiar faces and new souls. Each class, each breath, each moment of trust in the air and on the ground has meant so much to me.

I am deeply grateful — thank you for showing up, for choosing to float, to fly, and to ground together. For the laughter, the courage, the curiosity, and the quiet moments of connection.

I celebrate this year with a full heart and look forward to many more playful, nourishing, and soulful sessions with you in the new year ✨🤍

“Walk as if you are kissing the earth with your feet.” – Thich Nhat Hanh

Our feet are so incredible: walking, dancing, hiking, swimming, and adventuring are just some of the things that are made possible because of them. They carry us through life, step by step, often without us even realizing the enormous role they play. Not only do they allow us to move and explore the wonder of this world, but they are deeply connected to our entire body—think of foot reflexology, where every part of the body has a reflection point in the feet. They are truly a pathway to healing.

Feet also ground us. Literally. With every step, they connect us to the earth, anchoring us in the present moment. Walking barefoot, especially on natural ground like grass, sand, or soil, has been shown to calm the nervous system, balance energy, and restore a sense of harmony in the body. This practice of “earthing” or grounding is more than just poetic—it’s deeply healing.

When we care for our feet, we are caring for our whole being. Strong, flexible feet support healthy posture, protect our joints, and ripple upwards into the health of our knees, hips, spine, and even our breath. Weak or neglected feet can lead to tension, pain, and imbalance throughout the body.

Leonardo da Vinci said it beautifully:
“The human foot is a masterpiece of engineering and a work of art.”

✨ Simple ways to love your feet ✨
– Take a grounding barefoot walk on grass, sand, or earth.
– Roll a tennis ball or massage ball under your feet to release tension.
– Stretch your toes and ankles daily to improve circulation and balance.
– Soak your feet in warm water with salt or lavender for relaxation.
– Pause for a moment of gratitude—thank your feet for carrying you.

May your feet take you where your heart wants to go—and may you remember to show them love, gratitude, and a little tenderness along the way.

How do you feel about your feet? Do you walk barefoot to ground, stretch them, or give them the same care you give the rest of your body?

Dear YIN community,

With the new schedule unfolding at Lighthouse, there’s a beautiful sense of newness and possibility — and yet, there’s also a tender shift to share.

As some of you have already noticed, there won’t be a regular YIN class in the new morning lineup. I know many of you have asked about this, and I want to say how much I’ve loved holding space for our slow, grounding practices together.

For now, the way to continue practicing YIN with me will be through my monthly Yin & Nidra events, where we can still meet in the deep pause — with stillness, silence, and those longer, nourishing holds.

I’m exploring options to bring regular YIN classes back into the rhythm, and I promise to keep you updated as that unfolds.

In the meantime, thank you — truly — for being part of this YIN space with me. It continues to be one of my love languages, and such a privilege to guide.

I’m still here, always inviting you to pause, to soften into stillness, and to stay curious — because there is always magic waiting there. ✨

With love,
Jess

MY WEEK IN STUDIO🌈
A few gentle shifts in the schedule—here’s where you can move, breathe, and be with me and you:

Your weekly lineup:
✨ Monday 5:30 PM – Flow
✨ Wednesday 8:15 AM – Flow
✨ Thursday 10:30 AM – Flow
✨ Thursday 5:30 PM – Yin

Each class is an invitation to return to yourself.
To land. To soften. To move with purpose and presence.
To feel what’s alive in your body and give it space to unfold.

You don’t need to be “flexible” or have it all together—just bring your breath and your willingness to show up as you are.
This is your space to explore movement, stillness, and everything in between.

Let’s root down, rise up, and create space for joy, clarity, and connection—together.

See you in studio, in your home or at an evening.

Yin & Nidra Evening at Lighthouse Holistic💫

The Chakra system: Two: Svadhisthana/ Sacral chakra.

Enjoy, Flow, Create, Feel:
The Sacral Chakra is associated with creativity, emotions, pleasure, and relationships.

This second session is an invitation to flow with your emotions, awaken creativity, and embrace pleasure with ease.

As we explore Svadhisthana, we invite fluidity—physically, emotionally, and energetically. This is a space to reconnect with your senses, nurture joy, and honor the natural rhythms of your body.

Through mindful movement, breath, and stillness, we soften resistance, allowing emotions to flow rather than stagnate. Like water, we learn to adapt, move with grace, and surrender to the present moment.

This practice is an invitation to:
✨ Feel – Welcome your emotions without judgment
✨ Create – Awaken inspiration and self-expression
✨ Flow – Move with ease, letting go of rigidity
✨ Receive – Open yourself to joy, pleasure, and connection.

✨ Yin Yoga: A slow, meditative practice that works deep into the body’s connective tissues—fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones. By turning inward, we cultivate awareness of the physical and emotional sensations, fostering self-exploration and connection.

✨ Yoga Nidra: Often called “conscious sleep,” yoga nidra is a guided meditation technique that invites you into a state of deep relaxation between wakefulness and sleep. This practice encourages theta brainwave activity, supporting healing, rejuvenation, and profound rest. Also known as NSDR (Non-Sleep Deep Rest), nidra offers restoration for mind and body alike.

Join me for an evening of curiosity, self-discovery, and love at Lighthouse Holistic. Let’s explore together.

What to bring: A mat, a blanket, and a journal + pen.

📅 Date: Tuesday, 6 May 2025

⏰ Time: 7:15-9:15 PM

💰 Investment: R400

📍 Venue: The Lighthouse Holistic, 6th Floor, The Barracks, 50 Bree Street, Cape Town

Let’s stay curious and see the magic. 💫

Never Stop Playing, Moving, and Exploring🫶
Tapping into one of my words of the year: JOY.

There’s something magical about moving outside—feeling the sun on your skin, the earth beneath your feet, and the freedom to stretch, twist, and explore without walls.

Yoga isn’t about poses; it’s about curiosity. It’s about stepping outside, waking up your body, and moving in ways that feel good—rolling, stretching, balancing, and playing like a child discovering the world for the first time.

What happens when you let go of the “right way” to move and simply play? Can you turn a walk into an adventure? A stretch into a dance? A yoga practice into a journey of exploration?

Let nature be your playground. Climb, crawl, flow, pause. Breathe it all in.

✨ Move for the joy of it. Play for the fun of it. Explore because you can. ✨
