Ayurveda & Yoga (Vata Workshop)
Ayurveda is a fundamental part of the Indian lifestyle, supporting both physical health and mental well-being. When its principles are applied to yoga, the practice becomes more accessible, balanced, and effective.
According to Ayurveda, the body is governed by three doshas - Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Maintaining harmony among these energies is essential for overall balance and vitality.
In this workshop, we will explore Vata in depth, both theoretically and through practical application. You will understand how an increase in Vata can lead to stiffness in the body, and how balancing it can transform your yoga practice into a more fluid and enjoyable experience.
This workshop includes:
• Understanding the Ayurvedic nature of Vata and how it functions
• Exploring the relationship between Vata and movement in yoga postures
• Techniques to reduce stress and improve the quality of sleep
• One hour of gentle Hatha Yoga practice
What you will learn:
• The different forms of pranic energy and how they influence physical and mental functions
• How awareness of Vata can make your yoga practice more effortless and aligned
• A unique meditation technique to release stress, anxiety, and mental overload
