Erika is our IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) offering mobile lactation support in the comfort of your home. Erika enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids in beautiful Eastern Washington.

A note from Erika:
“After a difficult experience breastfeeding my first child, I decided to embark on the long process to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I currently work with feeding challenges both in hospital with newborns, in an outpatient clinic helping babies up to 3 weeks and also do in home or virtual visits with for the entirety of your breastfeeding journey. I have taken courses to be certified in oral tethers (tongue/lip ties), difficult latch, bottle refusal, and infant weight issues. I am here to help encourage and support you during the transition to breastfeeding your new baby.”

📣ANNOUNCEMENT TO OUR WEIGHT LOSS CLIENTS: Our pharmacy is beginning to limit their supply of Tirzepatide. This impacts how we serve you on your weight loss journey. Here’s the scoop:

The pharmaceutical company who created Tirzepatide has exclusive rights on production until 2027. Due to supply issues, the med was placed on the FDA’s drug shortage list allowing for other pharmacies to compound and distribute Tirzepatide. The pharmaceutical company has been fighting to reverse this and last week the FDA removed Tirzepatide from the shortage list, returning exclusive manufacturing rights to the patent-holding pharmaceutical company.

What now? This is an evolving situation and we are diligently working to find a solution for our current clients. All new weight loss clients will be started on Semaglutide which is a similar GLP-1 medication for weight loss.

We encourage you all to report any difficulties in receiving commercially available Tirzepatide on the FDA’s website.

Great news for our weight loss clients!! The Yakima Athletic Club is now offering discounted memberships to those in our weight loss program!! They are also offering discounts for using their InBody scan to track body composition to measure weight, fat, muscle, and water.

Exercise is vital while on GLP-1 medications such as Tirzepatide for weight loss. Tirzepatide is just one tool and results will be optimal when combined with exercise. Weight bearing exercise also ensures you don’t lose muscle along with fat. Finally, exercising helps build lifelong habits for keeping the weight off long term!
