In the morning, I tried one of those cute hairstyles that uses tiny plastic elastics.
By noon, I could feel them popping one by one. đ
My thick curls were just⊠too much load.
Those little bands held for a while.
But not all day. đ€·đ»
By lunchtime?
Hot mess.
đ And it made me think about our bodies.
Muscles and joints are a lot like those elastics.
They can handle the load..until they canât.
Pain rarely shows up out of nowhere.
Itâs usually been building quietly in the background.
Your body compensates.
It adapts.
It works around tightness or weakness.
Until one day⊠something âsuddenlyâ hurts. Capacity matters.
đ If the muscles arenât strong enoughâŠ
đ¶ If the joints arenât moving wellâŠ
The load of daily life eventually exposes it.
The good news?
Unlike my hair elastics, your body doesnât just snap without warning.
Pain is feedback.
Today, just take a moment and reflect:
Where might your body be quietly working overtime?
What has it been tolerating⊠that it doesnât have the capacity for long-term?
Sometimes the answer isnât less activity.
Sometimes itâs building better support đ«
