💡 How to Treat | ™ Extension Catheter Facilitates Stent Delivery Across a Helically Tortuous Vessel

Delivering devices through severe tortuosity remains a major challenge in PCI. In this case, the target lesion was located distally, with multiple proximal bends and a helical tortuous segment that blocked stent passage.

With strong guiding support and anchoring techniques, the Expressman™ GEC successfully crossed the helical tortuous segment, enabling smooth distal stent delivery and full expansion with an excellent final result. This case highlights how Expressman™ provides exceptional deliverability and support, helping physicians tackle tortuous and distal lesions more safely and efficiently.

Many thanks to Dr. Luo Yongbai for sharing this insightful case.

Last week, APT Medical, together with our partner Sellmed Brazil, conducted two "APT Day" workshops in Recife, Pernambuco, focusing on practical clinical applications and real-world insights into our endovascular and interventional devices.

In one session, Dr. Laecio Leitão performed a TACE procedure using the ™ Microcatheter (2.2F) paired with a 0.018’’ microguidewire, demonstrating excellent deliverability, vessel selectivity, and stable embolic injection.

In another case, Dr. Tiago Bandeira treated a PAD patient using ™, ™, ™, and ™. The combination of Guiroad™ 6g and Dredger™ 0.018’’ offered outstanding crossability and strong support, ensuring a smooth revascularization outcome.

Our sincere thanks to Dr. LeitĂŁo and Dr. Bandeira for their trust and valuable feedback, and to the Sellmed Brazil team for their continued collaboration.
By connecting closely with clinicians through “APT Day”, we continue advancing reliable, high-quality solutions that support better patient outcomes worldwide.

💡 How to Treat | Elong™ 1.7F Microcatheter – Assisted High-Resistance Lesion

Crossing heavily calcified, high-resistance lesions remains one of the toughest challenges in interventional cardiology.
In this complex case, initial attempts with conventional microcatheters and balloons failed.

With its ultra-low crossing profile, the Elong™ 1.7F microcatheter successfully advanced through the lesion, enabling safe wire exchange to a rotational atherectomy wire and ultimately achieving TIMI 3 flow.

We sincerely thank Dr. Lu Ziyu for sharing this valuable case and clinical experience.
