🚨 Oral Cancer: Early Signs People Often Miss 🚨

Most oral cancers are found late — but your mouth gives warning signs early. Don’t ignore these subtle red flags 👇

🔍 Persistent mouth sore
A sore that doesn’t heal within 2 weeks is NOT normal.

🔴 Red or white patches
Unusual patches inside the mouth, gums, or tongue can be early precancerous changes.

😖 Unexplained mouth pain or numbness
Especially if it lingers or keeps coming back.

🦷 Loose teeth (without dental cause)
Movement in teeth without gum disease or injury can be a warning sign.

🗣️ Difficulty swallowing or feeling something stuck
Pay attention if this persists.

👅 Changes in the tongue or jaw movement
Stiffness, limited movement, or thickened areas matter.

⏰ Hoarseness lasting more than 2 weeks
Your voice changing isn’t always “just allergies.”

✨ BOTTOM LINE:
If something in your mouth feels off and lasts more than 2 weeks — get it checked. Early detection saves lives.

💬 Share this — you could help someone catch it early.

Oral pathology is the specialty focused on diagnosing diseases of the mouth, jaw, and face.

Persistent ulcers? White or red patches? Unexplained swelling or lumps?
These aren’t things to ignore.

Oral pathologists help identify conditions like:
• Oral cancer
• Autoimmune disorders
• Infections
• Cysts and tumors
• Chronic facial pain conditions

Early diagnosis = better outcomes.

If something in your mouth doesn’t look or feel right for more than 2 weeks, get it evaluated.

Your mouth is connected to your whole body — it deserves expert care. ✨

Geographic tongue 🌍
Totally benign. Sometimes uncomfortable. Often misunderstood.

Those map-like patches on the tongue can move around, change shape, and come and go. It’s not contagious and usually linked to inflammation, stress, hormones, or nutrient deficiencies.

If it burns or feels sensitive, spicy and acidic foods can make it worse.
When in doubt—get it checked. Knowledge > panic.
